Story
The latest groundbreaking tome from Tim Ferriss, the number-one New York Times best-selling author of The 4-Hour Workweek. For the last two years, I've interviewed more than 200 world-class performers for my podcast, The Tim Ferriss Show. The guests range from super celebs (Jamie Foxx, Arnold Schwarzenegger, etc.) and athletes (icons of powerlifting, gymnastics, surfing, etc.) to legendary Special Operations commanders and black-market biochemists. For most of my guests, it’s the first time they’ve agreed to a two-to-three-hour interview.

Story
We are capable of savage acts of violence but also spectacular feats of kindness: is one side of our nature destined to win out over the other? Every act of human behaviour has multiple layers of causation, spiralling back seconds, minutes, hours, days, months, years, even centuries, right back to the dawn of time and the origins of our species. In the epic sweep of history, how does our biology affect the arc of war and peace, justice and persecution? How have our brains evolved alongside our cultures?

Publisher's Summary
"Call of the Wild" is the story of Buck, a magnificent dog who is stolen from his idyllic life and sold for use on a Yukon dogsled team. His travels are not only of a physical nature, as he learns hard discipline from men who must discipline their dog teams, but his own journey back to his primordial roots in the frozen tundra - the roots of wolf. This amazing story of transformation is beautifully written and provides a glimpse of the hard life in the Yukon Territory during the 1900s.

Terrible Narration
Mispronunciations, zero pauses (even between chapters), and a voice that attempts to sound like the suspenseful movie trailer guy through the whole story; this is not “The Call of the Wild” I remember. I was looking for a quick listen before the movie release to refresh my memory. Unfortunately I was driving when I started and just had to let it play. I do not recommend this version.

Narration or news report?
The story was fine. But the narration, not so much. It sounded like a news report. No expression. Just flat.

Fantastic Story, wish it had a better narrator
Call of the Wild is one of my favorite books, and with the new movie coming out, I picked this up for $0.65. the story is still as strong as ever, but the narrator was a bit stiff. it was worth the less than a dollar I paid for it, but this is a tale that needs a more robust narrator. I highly recommend this book, but I'm sure there are better recording out there of it!

Great!
I didn't think I'd care for this story, but it only forty-seven cents, so I figured I had nothing much to lose. But it was actually really good, it held my interest, and I enjoy the narrator's voice (I've listened to three books read by him now, and he's my favorite so far!). Viva Buck!!!!!

Wonderful story ruined by narrator.
This was one of the most painful listens. Is it so difficult to find a narrator who sounds human? I think not. I have heard narrators who have improved mediocre tales. If this were the only option for the audio version, I would definitely recommend the paper book.
