Publisher's Summary
Twelve-year-old Gordy Stitser is one of the few people who knows the truth about the secret society of potion masters, because not only is Gordy's mom on the Board of Ruling Elixirists Worldwide (BREW), but she has also been training Gordy in the art of potion-making.
Gordy is a natural, and every day he sneaks down to the basement lab to invent new potions using exotic ingredients like fire ant eggs, porcupine quills, and Bosnian tickling juice.
One afternoon, Gordy receives a mysterious package containing an extremely rare potion known as "The Eternity Elixir." In the right hands, the Elixir continues to protect society. But in the wrong hands, it could destroy the world as we know it.
Now, sinister potion masters are on the hunt to steal the Eternity Elixir. It's up to Gordy, his parents, and his best friends, Max and Adeline, to prevent an all-out potion war.

The Eternity Elixir
This was a spellbinding story! I enjoyed listening to it with my 10 year old - she really liked it and as soon as it ended she wanted to know if there were more in the series. Michael Crouch does not disappoint in his delivery - a pleasure to listen to.

Typical boy smarter than dad
I ended up turning it off after a frustrating couple hours. The book is made for kids, and so I suppose that's why the narrator pauses so long between each sentence. Even playing it at speed the pauses are a bit annoying. Then there's all the stupid things, like the kid seems to have more Street smarts than his dad, yet let's his friends do stupid dangerous things in his mom's lab. Make up your mind, does he have common sense or not? It's also annoying how slow minded his father is.
It's a book for kids... But not my kids, as a story that belittles parents is not the attitude I want my kids growing up with.

A fun listen
I stayed up ALL. NIGHT. Listening to this book. If you like wizards an magic and potion brewing mixed with a little silly, scary, and all out just great then I recommend this book. There are some scary parts so no recommended for kids under 8. I hope if you get this you will have the same experience as me.
