Unusual narration choice

I just thought I would make people aware of the unusual choice in the narration of this book. The book is written as a series of first person blog posts. The narrator reads the blog posts in a British accent, and then whenever there is dialogue, including the dialogue spoken by the protagonist, it is all in a North American accent, as the book is set in North America. I found this a bit jarring and it was definitely not something I had come across before. I didn't personally enjoy the book itself either, but I mainly just wanted to let people know about the narration.
