About this listen

With global population numbers projected to increase by two billion by 2050, a veritable food crisis is on the horizon. In this audiobook we examine some of the complex factors involved in the coming “food crisis” and the innovative ideas and technologies designed to increase food production sustainably. We also examine current industry methods to increase production and the controversies surrounding them, including not only hot-button issues like genetically modified (or GM) and processed foods but also food safety and the physical effects of the modern diet.

This one is an amalgamation of different articles from the previous decade, so a lot of the information is already available to anyone who kept us with the trends. First few chapters where they shared what needs to be done for a stable good chain, got me really cursing the malpractices that started off from green revolution. Now they have the blue revolution going but farming in the sea is still going to cause a lot of issues, as shown in certain documentaries. Basis our evolution, no one diet can cater to all our requirements, but the whole plant based diet always came up as healthiest. other than that, we may as will live a life like those cave dwellers and wander around a lot to burn up those calories. Climate change and the GMO game will be a big watch out for the coming years.
