About this listen
When Danielle Boatman inherits Marlow House, she dreams of turning it into a seaside bed and breakfast. Since she's never visited the property, Danielle's not sure what awaits her in Oregon. She certainly doesn't expect to find one of the house's previous owners still in residence. After all, the man has been dead for almost 90 years - shouldn't he have moved on by now?
Charming Walt Marlow convinces Danielle the only way he can move on is if she solves the mystery of his death. Danielle soon discovers her real problems may come from the living - those who have their sights on Marlow House's other secrets.

This one is a cozy mystery with a friendly and handsome ghost from way back and the new owner of the same house that once belonged to the Ghost.
No, they are not related and that's the first puzzle piece that begins raising questions.
Danielle Boatman is the new owner of the Marlow house and the last thing she expected when she first visited the house was to meet Walt Marlow, the original owner of the house but the thing is that only she can see him and her friend, Lily has no idea the third member that's just joined them.
Danielle wants to open a nice B&B in town but now that she realizes until she solves this mystery of her resident ghost she really can't take the next step.
What's more perplexing is the way she hears Walt passed away but that's just not possible because he comes across as the opposite of what she's heard.
It's apparent that unless she helps Walt solve the mystery of what happened to him and who was responsible for offing him, Walt will never be free of that place.
So begins the journey of meeting the town folks, piecing together clues by trying to find the people who were close to Walt.
The major problem, she has to somehow figure out to find info from the 1920s that is Walt's Timeline.
Add to the fact that their new neighbor, Ian not only seems to give off suspicious vibe but his interest in her friend, Lily gives way to his double sided intentions.
Walt Marlow is such an amazing character, even though he comes from a time that was traditional and so his bantering with Danielle was so much fun as he tries to comprehend how the times have changed and finding things like TV and laptops, yet he's quite charming and comes across as a cool person.
I really felt that if he wasn't a ghost, surely Danielle and him would have great chemistry. They are in no way related, even though she has inherited the house somehow but also I really liked seeing him lord around and trying to understand what happened to him.
Not only does Danielle have to find the mystery which is difficult what with the timeline of the 1920s and rare places have articles pertaining to that time but also beware of the hidden treasure she doesn't realize the house possesses and hence putting further in danger her stay over there.
This book is perfect for when you want to read something light hearted, with a suspense sprinkled paranormal ride but doesn't have high level of drama or emotions.
I'm definitely diving into the next one after this one.
Walt, the dashing ghost & Danielle the new owner who has to solve the mystery of him.
