Show, don’t tell?
If Bella didn’t create such interested stories, I couldn’t listen. So much unnecessary explaining. It’s constant and repetitive. I didn’t finish The Shade of Vampire series because of that and all the extra and unhelpful adjectives. In this book, number 6 in the series, it’s beginning to wear on me. The other thing I get tired of is the MC staying in her head too much. Happened in Shade as well. Too much thinking and mulling over, not enough doing and narrative with other people. Her characters always seem to be overthinkers.
The story is interesting though, and while I never seem to appreciate the MCs in Bella’s books, other characters that think less and do more are enough to keep me coming back. Having said that, if there were more than 7 of these, I would stop right where I am, which is about 1/3 into book 6, because I’m starting to not care.

OK! So if I thought that Liana repeated herself in the last book, this one is almost unbearable. I found myself zoning out and not paying attention to the story just so that I could get to the end. Liana is getting more and more unbearably bossy and the conversations she has with herself in her head are becoming increasingly ridiculous. She has this "family" of friends that she in charge of but doesn't let them in on what's going on. What is family for, but to be helpful? Even if it's for moral support or as a sounding board...she just won't let anyone in...It is not a sign of strength, it actually shows weakness. Most of her friends are the same age and older than she is and she is kind of a like the tower nazi right now!

Many narration errors, but great book nicely performed, recording needs revision.
Yes this is a great story and I love the narrator’s voice and performance. But please do a little revision and update the edition. The grammar and dictation issues distract from the exceptional story.
Many narration error especially in pronunciation. The one that distracted me most was the pronunciation of the verb “slaved” Hard drives are slaved as in the root verb ‘To Slave’ same “A” as in ‘stay,’ ‘save,’ ‘hay’... It is not “slaaaaved” as the narrator continually mispronounced it. It does not have “A” which rhymes with slabbed, stabbed... Maybe in some regional dialects, but not in the standard dialect in which this book is narrated. The Author got the verb right and did not confuse it with the verb To Enslave, ie The ranking system enslaves the tower’s population, but the narrator had no clue what the word meant.
The other error which distracted me was when the narrator dropped words critical to the meaning. There are 3 verbs in the positive tense, ie It should happen, when contextually they should be negative ie it should not happen. Pretty weird listen to Liona endorse the things she abhors.
Love the story. It’s descriptive, smart, and entertaining.

narrator is iffy
update: i love how the author tied this into her other book, but omg "Mattress" really!?!? how did this happen
love this series, it's a riveting story. However, the narrator frequently mispronounced words and that drives me insane.

Too much talking and thinking, not enough doing
So the strongest books in this series in my opinion are the first three as they balance out the action and plot progression with the main characters internal monologue and the authors preference to over explain almost every action and thought.
The first three books occured over a slightly longer time line, well the frist two are and the third book has the intense events of the tawdry, though those two could have easily been condensed down into a single book. the going over of repeated plot points is also highly irritating.
Then there's the manufactured/ over done conflict bettwen the main characters and frankly lianas wishy washy thoughts which have just taken up too much of the last two books if I'm being honest.
There's also the 3 way love triangle, Alex being an utter dick and Liana and the other characters not explaining things to others clearly to create conflict, it just feels like filler.
I'm going to finish this series of books because I'm interested in the tower and the world that's been created around it and how each of the citizens cope with the life within it. The main plot is solid and I'm invested in the characters it's just there's just too much filler for me.

Never ending internal soliloquy
I’ve persevered with all of the books so far, but the never ending internal commentary is getting incredibly tedious. The main character is such a young, hormonal, impulsive little thing that I find it really hard to believe that anyone would willingly follow her.
The narrator also constantly mispronounces “undoubtedly” as “undoudably”, and unfortunately that word appears A LOT. It’s getting more and more difficult to ignore!

Enthralling is all I can say!!
I was going to wait for my next credit for the last book in the series..
I was also losing patience with the series in the book before this one, but I am so glad I stuck to it and continued, this book has so many twists and unforeseen options that you have no idea how it is going to play out. Marvelously done!!

Fantastic however
Warning spoiler...
The chapter where the people from the gender games series arrive on the tower the narrator reads matrus and Patrus as mattress and pat (like cat) ress it was some what frustrating since it wasn't pronounced that way as it was in the gender games series even queen Alena was also prounonced differently I wish the narrator of this movie had listened to the previous series of gender games before narrating this book although it does to be that one chapter at Patrus is pronounced correctly after that
