beautiful short stories of famous writers in the backdrop of daily lives which makes the listening enjoyable. Naration also very nice.

A good mix of stories
If you have a little knowledge of Bengali cinema and literature, then the first few stories would be known to you. The rest are an interesting mix. Something for everybody.
Mr. Sinha either struggled with the few Bengali words scattered throughout the narrative. It was sometimes jarring and sometimes funny.
Pretty decent translation. In one or two stories the beauty of the original seemed to be lost. Overall I would recommend it as a good starter for introduction to Bengali literature.

Decent stories, uneven narration
I wish the stories had been read by a native Bengali speaker. The narrator Mis-pronounced up a lot of Bengali names and terms. For example, in the story “The Music Room”, the term “Ginni” (with a hard emphasis on the double n) was consistently pronounced as “Guinea”. Errors such as these would not have occurred with someone who was a native Bengali speaker.

Best combination of short stories.
Liked all the stories. Narrated so well we can imagine the characters. Entertaining. Especially that era before independence is explained so well.

Excellent Bengali Short Stories
This collection of terrific short stories by great Bangla writers like Tagore, Satyajit Ray, Mahasweta Devi and Sunil Gangopadhyay takes you to Bengal and immerse you in Bengali culture and rituals.

poor reading
Disappointed. The reader does not know Bengali and pronounced the names incorrectly. The reading was monotonous. Expected something more professional.
