Cheesy... but surprisingly kept my interest

If you are familiar with Romantic Erotica, you will be overly prepared for the cheesy plot line of this predictable love story. But compared to most of the trashy and poorly written erotica written out there, I give Ms Raine a thumbs up for hitting this genre on the head and delivering the story with entertaining allure.

The dramatic narration and music helped to pulled me through to the end, laughing out loud at times over the stereotypical erotic descriptions, but was surprisingly enticed to listen in one sitting. Perhaps it was Edwards’s sexy voice that did it for me, and the Chopin pieces. I’ve got a thing for British accents.

Trigger warning: But I have to say, the barely 18 year old virgin having an affair with a significantly older man who is supposed to be her caretaker is an overplayed trope that is quite tasteless in a #metoo and #pedophile ridden world. 🤮 If Jessica was 25 I’d be a bit more excited about this romance.

this is the worst audible I have ever heard

Dear Audible,
Don't you think you ought to label a "book" like The Guardian as porn or porn light. You can't imagine my surprise as I was driving down Los Angeles' 405 freeway and this book took a turn from what your publisher's blurb described as a young girl's parents' die and she is left to start a new life with a guardian. ....not a word about the hugely sexual content of this
"bodess ripper". The writing, the performances and the lack of plot add up to the worst audible book I've ever heard. I feel sorry for these actors having to grunt, groan and simulate sex sounds in a studio with technicians all around. Believe me, I'm not a prude in any way but, come on...don't you think the description should warn listeners about content that is so corny and horny.

Lol I can’t believe someone made this!

I have never laughed so much at an audiobook in all my life. I have no problem with the story line or the narrators per say. But I’ll tell you listening to people kiss and have sex is not sexy at all! And the music?! What were they thinking? Ugh it was really bad but might be worth a free listen if you want a good laugh.

❣❣❣❣

this was a very sweet story....there could have been some more content with them getting to know each other better but it was still worth a listen. I really enjoyed the audio effects and the way this was performed!!

Cast Narrated Romance

This was a sensual romance about a young woman who lost her parents and the older guardian who takes her in. The cast was wonderful, loved the sexy Brit, but the music was a bit much at times. Better than a number of romance books I’ve read. The interactions felt more natural.

Soooooo Hokey

Don't knw what the reviewer was huffing, but this isn't porn, not sure it even qualifies as erotica. Think old school Harlequin romances on fast track w/sound. Sooooo incredibly Hokey, I couldn't finish listening & not because of narration. Narrators were fine, extra enhancing sound became a bit too much.
If looking for something w/steam or even detailed....keep on looking cuz it absolutely isn't here.

Pretty Bad Audible

Reading the summary of this book you already knew where it was heading, however the story was poorly developed. The performance did absolutely no justice to the book. It actually made the book worse. The male leads voice did not fit with his description in the book. The young lady’s tone seemed to girlish and annoying. There was nothing sexy about there performance it was just plain weird.

The Guardian

I am new to audiobooks but I have read books by Alice Raine was curious to see how the author did writing short stories.
As usual Alice Raine has not disappointed. I enjoyed the story but I do prefer reading myself so I would love to see it in print
