Story
Prithvi, a twenty-one-year-old, is searching for a mysterious middle-aged aghori (Shiva devotee), Om Shastri, who was traced more than 200 years ago before he was captured and transported to a high-tech facility on an isolated Indian island. When the aghori was drugged and hypnotized for interrogation by a team of specialists, he claimed to have witnessed all four yugas (the epochs in Hinduism) and even participated in both Ramayana and Mahabharata.

Story
India, 1025 AD. Repeated attacks by Mahmud of Ghazni and his barbaric Turkic hordes have weakened India’s northern regions. The invaders lay waste to vast swathes of the subcontinent—plundering, killing, raping, pillaging. Many of the old Indian kingdoms, tired and divided, fall to them. Those who do fight, battle with old codes of chivalry, and are unable to stop the savage Turkic army, which repeatedly breaks all rules to win. Then the Turks raid and destroy one of the holiest temples in the land: the magnificent Lord Shiva temple at Somnath.

gripping suspense
the narration is better than the book 1, although can be improved a lot.
maybe I'll get used to by book3
the storyline swings between past and present and 2 lateral plots, which are at times confusing.
the story build up makes you want to go for book3, despite all its shortcomings!

Good story, bad narration
Storyline is good (not great), but worst is the pronunciation of names of Indian mythological characters, Indian places, Indian communities, etc. by an Indian-named narrator.. just kills the mood

A Fascinating and Imaginative Audiobook that Blends Mythology and Reality
The Hidden Hindu is a captivating and imaginative audiobook that explores the possibility of a hidden civilization of immortals living among us. The author, Akshat Gupta, creates a fascinating world where mythological characters from Hindu history and legends interact with modern-day humans in a thrilling adventure. The narrator, Vivek Bhatia, does a great job of bringing the story to life with his voice and expression.
I enjoyed listening to this audiobook very much. It kept me engaged and curious throughout. I liked how the author blended fiction and reality, and how he portrayed the immortals as complex and flawed beings, not just as gods or heroes. I also appreciated the themes of faith, destiny, and morality that the author explored in the story.
The only thing that disappointed me was the pronunciation of some of the mythological characters’ names. I felt that it was unnecessary and confusing to change the original names of these characters, especially since they are well-known and respected in Hindu culture. I would have preferred to hear their names as they are traditionally pronounced.
Overall, I would rate this audiobook 4 stars out of 5. It is a creative and entertaining audiobook that will appeal to anyone who likes fantasy, mythology, and adventure. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a new and exciting listen.

Great series!
The entire series is amazing and gripping, and heard all 3 books at a go. Yes the narration is a bit off. Like for example: when there is a bit of back and forth between the different places, it becomes difficult to understand, coz there is no indication by the narrator with a pause. So had to rewind a few times, But the book itself makes up for it. Definitely would recommend it for anyone who is interested in Hindu mythology.

The character built and the way it's originality isn't tarnished
One of the amazing books always mesmerized by Guptaji's work where the original characteristics aren't modified but still the entire story is built in contemporary world which becomes very much relatable and the characters come to life
