About this listen

Brian Dykstra's rage ignites in The Jesus Factor, an uncensored and outrageously funny one-man tour de force about religious hypocrisy and power. Dykstra's ferocious and stinging rebukes of those in power who hold this nation hostage by their constant drumbeat of fear have branded him an "enemy" by Rush Limbaugh, while landing him on many of the Radical Right's watch lists, including the NRA's. If dissent is a hallmark of the American tradition, Brian Dykstra stands in the forefront of a new generation of America's greatest patriots.©2007 Uproar Entertainment (P)2007 Uproar Entertainment Performing Arts Stand-up Shows

Editorial Reviews

This isn’t just Brian Dykstra uncensored, this is Brian Dykstra unchained and going one thousand miles per hour. The Jesus Factor is a hilarious, rage-filled show that skewers all the hypocrisy there is to find in our leaders, political and religious alike. Part slam poetry, part stand-up comedy, the monologues in Dykstra’s album are full of wit and deserved anger. While Dykstra takes issue with administrations from both sides of the aisle, he focuses the majority of his comedic wrath on the most recent Bush administration. Though they were sobering times, with this album Dykstra reminds us one of the best coping methods is always laughter.
