Publisher's Summary
Neil Josten is out of time. He knew when he came to PSU he wouldn't survive the year, but with his death right around the corner he's got more reasons than ever to live.
Befriending the Foxes was inadvisable. Kissing one is unthinkable. Neil should know better than to get involved with anyone this close to the end, but Andrew's never been the easiest person to walk away from. If they both say it doesn't mean anything, maybe Neil won't regret losing it, but the one person Neil can't lie to is himself.
He's got promises to keep and a team to get to championships if he can just outrun Riko a little longer, but Riko's not the only monster in Neil's life. The truth might get them all killed - or be Neil's one shot at getting out of this alive.

The Trilogy is fantastic but you’d be better off reading the books
I woke up a few weeks ago and due to seriously dry eyes, torn my right cornea, such that I’ve been unable to read (even w my left eye) for about 14-17 days. So, obviously, once the pain accompanied by this matter died down, I needed either music or audio books to pass the time and even tho I’ve already read this trilogy about six months ago (and absolutely loved it) I decided why not listen to the books?! Indeed, I had done something quite similar with C.S. Pacat’s Kings Trilogy, wherein I first read the books myself (numerous, numerous times!) and then later decided to listen to the books, and found it extremely interesting to hear the voices of the different characters read aloud. There was something intriguing about hearing the narrator put voice to each of the MCs, and even the side characters in the books. I think the problem here (and I promise it’s not something you notice while reading the books, as one might notice by the ratings if nothing else) is that Pacats books are written a bit more eloquently, whereas Sakavic is continuously using the phrase “said ‘so and so’” said ‘so and so’”, again and again to the point where the listener (or maybe just me) feels like slapping the narrator and saying at the very least, change said to replied, exclaimed, noted, empathized, laconically stated, etc. etc. It’s not terrible at the very begging, but if you listen to the books straight thru, which is what I did, it might drive you crazy. Now mind you, I loved the trilogy when I read it a while back, so either when I was reading it, it didn’t sound so annoying in my head or I simply skimmed thru each instance and it never bothered me at all. I recall only being fascinated (which I was again) with the different characters of the Exy teams, and how they intermingled thruout the trilogy. Please don’t take this somewhat petty annoyance as something that should stop you from reading the trilogy itself. Again, i loved it first time I read it. I believe most people feel the same way. Certainly I’ve never seen a bad review. And it involves a sport I’d never before heard of in my life. But I’d still suggest reading the books (maybe just my personal preference) bc it’s obviously faster, and I read them straight through as well. Either way, the storyline is original, exciting, and written for fans of mysteries and thrillers. Not sweet Regency romances. I read both but there is violence in the books and if that bothers you, these are not the books for you. If violence doesn’t bother you, this is totally fantastic!!

Excellent story. Excellent narration
This was an amazing story about family. The underlying theme for this whole series is really all about learning how to create a family. The families in this particular story have more than a few issues... I am a bit overwhelmed by how intense this story was. I struggled to takes breaks from listening. By the last half of this book, I realized that the author had constructed a story that had no superfluous moments. Every single scene or comment furthered the story. There was no good by place to take a break. I am looking forward to reading this book now that I am not racing to get to the end.

Poor narration
The narrator strips all the pleasure out of this book. He has no feel for the story at all, and his inflections are all over the place. The handful of female students are indistinguishable from each other by voice. Male characters have two accents: southern California or Boston mafia, (including the character that is British!) though the book is set on a college campus in South Carolina. My advice is to stay with the print version.

Great series
I really loved this series. It isn’t so much about a sport but about the team. Individuals coming together as one. This is a character study but you won’t find all the answers given to you. These are damaged kids and they aren’t magically healed. They are and will always be damaged. They are simply learning how to be a team, and to a degree, trust. There are so few books that I would reread, but this is definitely one of them. I thought the narrator was good with male voices, but NOT with female voices. I had to cringe whenever “the girls” spoke. I think I’ll reread my print version next time.

Fantastic!
I absolutely love this series. The characters are diverse and interesting and the main is so lovable. The story isn't exactly realistic (as in the events wouldn't happen in everyday life) but the characters and their struggles are. The relationships are real and watching them learn to trust and find a reason to stay is heartwarming. It's not pretty but that's life, there are struggles and I have thoroughly enjoyed watching these characters find each other. Incase you couldn't tell by now I've been very touched by this series, I jumped in blind and I do not regret it at all. I would definitely recommend these books. I'm really rather obsessed haha <3

the best of the series
I was very neutral about the first book. Strongly disliked the second. But the third really redeemed the series for me. I would firstly like to praise the performance which I spoke negatively about on my previous reviews. The voice actor really embodied every character and made them stand really apart from each other. His narration style has improved and there were moments that I was really impressed by his skill in voicing so many different characters. The story really came together for this last novel and it was the least repetitive book of the series. Although it still repeated itself at least 5 times with similar phrases and expressions I was pleasantly surprised by the more mature writing. The writer really developed and the book no longer felt like a fanfiction. The love story finally appeared in the series and although the moments were only few they felt strong and real. I would all on all recommend this book series, but I was put a huge disclaimer that it is for mature audience and a triger warning for sexual abuse.

YES
I can't sing enough praises about this novel. What an epic conclusion. I didn't think Nora Sakavic could pull this off, there was too much to tie up to do a good job. Boy was I wrong. Admittedly she took the easy way out by killing off the main antagonists so there was no fear that anything could linger and ruin the perfect happy ending but I just don't care. It was so fucking satisfying. It elevated the whole series. The first and second book have become a more enjoyable read because of it. That is not a claim I can make about a lot of series. 10/10. Loved it.

great series
I'm just going with 5 stars for The King's Men. The third book in this series was just as brutal and captivating as the previous book in the series. I love Neil and the Foxes, I love Neil and Andrew. I so badly want some bonus scenes or ANYTHING! GEEZ..........Andrew and Neil, these books were THE slowest of slow burns where these 2 were concerned. I still don't feel like I have enough of them ( hence my need for some bonus ANYTHING ). It was so awesome for Neil to finally realise he wasn't alone anymore - he had friends, he had people who wanted to know him, who had his back, even though he doesn't really know what to do with feelings. Going into these books I had no idea what I was in for - the brutality, the violence, the characters and all their issues. Once I started with this series I devoured the books as fast as I could - great reads. I have enjoyed both the ebooks and audiobooks of this series. I do enjoy listening to this narrators audiobooks.

Andrews voice is a big no
look, this is the third time i'm reading this book but the first time listening to the audiobook, so the story is 5/5 but what I absolutely hated was the way Andrew was voiced. He's described as apathetic and always bored, but his voice was done the opposite of apathetic which was a big no from me. also I felt like all the girls had the same squeaky voice which is-.. no.
