Definitely for children.

This book is definitely for children who are interested in fantasy’s and unicorns. The reader has a very calm voice that I bet children will enjoy or be able to fall asleep to. I’m not really interested in unicorns, but this story made me fixated.

Are you f'n kidding? zombies that eat brains?!

This is TRAUMATIZING. Stay away! We were listening to sweet stories and all of a sudden there are brain eating zombies. At bedtime? Are you serious?! I feel like this is a bad joke to see what audible could get away with. Thank god I was listening to this WITH my kids so I could shut it off and turn on a story that is actually appropriate. Talk about nightmare instigating.

Robot American narrator

The story is ok but not revolutionary. The performance of the narrator is robotic and does not serve the story well.

my daughter lost focus a lot with this audio book

I think it was the narrator that made it hard to follow. My daughter lost focus a lot and asked to listen to books we'd previously listened to.

Check the chapters first!! Monsters and zombie stories.

While most of the stories were appropriate bedtime stories, the monster friends section, particularly the zombie story made my little ones quite afraid. Fortunately we were listening together and I could skip past this and some of the other less appropriate bedtime stories. Talking about being ‘undead’ and the notion of zombies eating brains doesn’t seem age appropriate, in my opinion, for a book targeting toddlers and young children.

Average

the start is good. But then it quickly moves to far more mature topics like Medusa (talking about people trying to cut her head off) and zombies. A massive escalation.

Additionally, the colour section contains gender stereotypes (e.g. Blue is a boy colour).

Decided to return the book as jjst not age or content appropriate overall.
