I just kept hoping..

Having read the previous reviews I'd hoped this book would eventually kick in but unfortunately, it just didn't. Save yourself the agony and read something else, I wish I had.

So many twists and turns I had no idea where it was going.

It kept me guessing right up until the end, so exciting. Brilliant believable characters, excellent narrator, just so sad that it has finished!Would make a brilliant TV six parter

Predictable with poor narration

Narration was just a serious of statements, no emotion or suspense created, very dull to listen to. Story was really unbelievable, couldn't wait for it to finish so don't get the rave reviews??

good story kept me spell bound til end. though I don't always go for books that skip back & forth between times. not too sure about the ending. but in all a very good listen.

OK if you don't count the implausibles

This should have been so much better than it was. The narration is good, the story line is quite promising but then it all descends into absurdity. Wish I hadn't wasted my time and my credit.

Shallow and very silly. Much of it rather dull.

This is not very good but maybe some people enjoy this kind of stuff? It’s about on the level of a fairly bad Soap. The characters are shallow pantomime figures who become progressively more annoying. The plot has potential but then stretches credulity to the point of becoming ridiculous. The narrator is terrible the whole book read in the same urgent monotone - which is exhausting.

a good story very well narrated- did keep me guessing- jumped about a bit too much which was a little offputting to me.... but all in all I would recommend.
