This is the first book in a duology that features - Tristan and Morana. The rest of the books in this series are interconnected standalones about different couples. This has to be read in the order as there is an overarching plot that moves along throughout the series. I am already invested in this and I need to know more. I have already started the second book while I am writing this. Tristan and Morana are enemies belonging to rival mafia families. It's a slow burn and the tension between them was just so good! I can't wait for them to finally be together. I just wish we got to see more moments where Morana's intelligence could shine. Other than that, let's me say I finished this book so fast.
