David Kossoff is one of the world's best-loved storytellers and Kossoff reading Kossoff is a listener's delight. Each story in this unique collection is framed with carefully selected and appropriate music.
Beloved 20th-century British actor and writer David Kossoff performs his stories of an old-world rabbi whose cheeky sense of humor solves the problems of his frequently befuddled congregation. Both Jews and non-Jews alike will appreciate these tales of small town life, with their vivid characters, quirky situations, and memorable passages of dialogue. The charming short tales are accompanied by pleasant musical interludes, and though it can sound a little moist at times, Kossoff's deep voice is pleasant and well-modulated.

Beautifully performed stories
Stories written and told with understanding of human nature, but with a charming sense of humour. A lovely set of stories; one or two might be familiar, but the core of this work is the warm performance.
