Publisher's Summary

All Michael Hollister wanted was death. What he got was time travel.

Convicted of murder, and with nothing left to live for, Michael commits suicide in his jail cell in 1977, then opens his eyes in 1966, in his eight-year-old body, with all memories of his previous life intact.

His first thoughts are of the dark intentions of his father. When the man who raised him once again tries to do the unthinkable, Michael has a chance to right his childhood's greatest wrong. But, can he do that without becoming a killer all over again?

Includes a special bonus note read by the author.

unable to stop listening

"The Redemption of Micahel Hollister" is the second book in the Middle Falls Time Travel Series. You will read this book because, if you are like me, you gobbled up Shawn Inmon's first book in this series, "The Unusual Second LIfe of Thomas Weaver."

I enjoy time travel stories and this series is one of the best. I highly recommend this series if you are looking for a book binge! I could not stop listening - great job Mr. Inmon!

No Way

I went from "Dude, why the heck does Michael Hollister need his own book" to "Oh Em Gee, that poor kid..."
This story did a great job transforming Michael from the previous book into a decent human being. My heart broke for Max at the end as I have a brother who is mentally disabled and I imagined how he would react in a similar situation...
I'm so glad I found these books!
Thanks Shawn Inmon!!!!!

As Good as the First Part

So the author is taking this one town and working with characters that interface in large and small ways with each other in different versions of reality. I'm a big time traveler fan (I might even tell you I'm a time traveler but would have no way to prove it so I won't). The best part about any time travel story are the characters that you can relate to and who have realistic reactions to the situation. Honestly it's more of a reincarnation story but I suppose the line blurs. Real solid story and characters. I recommend it. Not heavy at all in the Sci-Fi Fantasy which is my favorite kind.

Book 1 was good, this book was incredible.

As a person who grinds through 8 books a month or more this was one of the best to date. not even type of book, just well developed characters you will connect to. just the right number of characters and every one distinct and 100% real. Really great work by this author I am new to.

The second chance I wish I had

I loved the way Shawn inmon broaches the delicate but important subject. I don’t want to give away too much. In his first life he acted out it terrible ways, but in his 86th life he gets it right. This book WILL make you think what you did with your life and how to change what you can to make it better for yourself and others! I equate this author in league with Jody Picoult. Maybe even better!

WOW

I am surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. because I like the author found myself hating Michael Hollister by the end of book 1. Then the author decides to make me root for Michael Hollister OMG! Boy did I ever find myself rooting for a guy that I truly hated by the end of book 1 the guy was an animal. The author does a great job of describing what made Michael Hollister tick and why he was so angry. To say I enjoyed this book is an understatement I absolutely loved this book and love the story of redemption it tells. I will recommend it to anyone who feels Unworthy of forgiveness.

Second book was just as entertaining as First

This is the second in the Middle Falls Time Travel series. I totally didn't see the direction the author was going to take me, but I'm so glad I was along for the journey. I won't say more because I don't want to give anything away, but I will say it is worth it! AND, I received another trailer/teaser for book 3!

I can appreciate that this series doesn't repeat the same formula from book to book. I liked that. The characters are well written and the story lines are fresh. Very entertaining.

Narrator Johnathan McClain was perfect for the voice of Michael Hollister. Excellent storytelling! I will definitely listen to another audiobook production with him performing.

Lacking depth

I was disappointed in this book compared to the first. I was hoping that the author would dive deeper into the psychological aspects of the main character. This story is well written but doesn’t deal with how Michael truly escaped his violent tendencies.

Fantastic! (one mild spoiler below)

I enjoyed this so much better than the first book, which was by no means a bad book.
The narration is very good too.
I wasn't sure what to expect, because the bulk of the story being set in a military school doesn't sound very appealing to me.
But it really didn't let the story down and I came to like the characters at the school.
I hope the rest of the series lives up to the standard of book 2.

Guilty Pleasure

Having read/listened the first in the series and really enjoyed it - I wondered how Michael Hollister could possibly find redemption.
Having a new narrated for the second book was a bit of a surprise as book one had been narrated so well, I thought. Still, as this was a different character it was no time before I was totally engrossed in the story and loving every moment but it was way to short and now I am only glad that this is but the beginning.
Too often I can see how the plot line is going to progress, this doesn't take away from the story but it is much more fun when the storyline takes a turn you're just not expecting and Shawn Inmon has been about to do this for me.
Highly recommend this series to all!!!
Now go away - I want to get on with book 3...….

The second in the series and equally as gripping.

At first I was slighted by the fact the author and or publishers changed the narrator however within a short period of time I was once again hooked by the characters who were superbly represented to which end both the story and narrative had me on the edge of my seat (7 Series BMW) with goosebumps aplenty. I’m now taking a break to recover however and that said I’ve just downloaded his short stories collection. There’s a book or a mini series to be had from his collection perhaps akin to Quantum Leap.

What a transformation!

I expected to always dislike Michael Hollister. I remember discussing with my husband whether it was worth continuing on with the Middle Falls series as Michael's character was so depressing. He suggested that I carry on, seeing as I enjoyed the first book so much. I was so impressed by the rest of the book and it is now my favourite in the series (currently listened to 8 books in the series). Congratulations to Shawn Inmon for transforming such an unlikeable character in to one of the best.
