About this listen

The unabridged, downloadable audiobook edition of The Rosie Effect, by Graeme Simsion.

With the Wife Project complete, Don settles happily into a new job and married life in New York. But it's not long before certain events are taken out of his control and it's time to embark on a new project . . .

As Don tries to get to grips with the requirements of starting a family, his unusual research style soon gets him into trouble. To make matters more difficult, Don has invited his closest friend to stay with them, but Gene is not exactly a prime example of marital happiness, and as his life with Rosie continues to be unpredictable Don needs to remember that emotional support is just as important as his practical expertise . . .

Critic Reviews

All three of the Rosie novels made me laugh out loud. Ultimately the story is about getting inside the mind and heart of someone a lot of people see as odd, and discovering that he isn't really that different from anybody else (Bill Gates, 2020 Summer Books)
Funnym endearing, and pure wonderful escapism
A poignant, funny novel about how you don't find love, it finds you
Warm-hearted and perfectly pitched, with profound themes that are worn lightly, this very enjoyable read promises to put Don Tillman on teh comic literary map somewhere between Mr Pooter and Adrian Mole

There was something new in every chapter, in this thrilling sequel to the Rosie Project. Don Tillman is so relatable; trying his best to make things work but still making mistakes. Even Rosie was hitting hard with her struggles. In all, the book was real and funny, with human tensions and human emotions covering every chapter. Loved it!

Action-packed sequel!
