Publisher's Summary

Shwetabh Gangwar is a professional problem-solver - and he’s ace at it. For the past five years, people from all over the world have contacted him with their troubles, and he’s worked these out for them.

In the process, he has picked up on a simple pattern: people need a set of principles and perspectives to protect them from all the unnecessary bulls--t they go through. Codes to live by, essentially.

But be warned: Gangwar has no desire to spare your feelings. What you will find in this straightforward, straight-talking, no-craps-given guide, is:

  • How to deal with rejections of all kinds
  • How to change your perceptions of people so you don’t end up screwed
  • Why a society that sees people as ‘good and bad’ is dumb
  • How the search for happiness screws us over
  • How seeking approval and acceptance kills our individuality
  • The truth about social media influencers
  • Why we should be taught ‘how to think’, instead of ‘what to think’

Laying out clear principles, YouTube megastar Gangwar shows you how to deal with the s--t that has happened to you, is happening to you and will happen to you.

A refreshing, easy-to-listen-to, and relatable guide, The Rudest Book Ever will make you rethink everything you’ve been taught.

There’s nothing better than having the author narrate an audiobook himself

Having read this audiobook in the powerful voice of the author, I feel refreshed with new perceptions on how to look at things, people and problems. The author does not beat around the bush and gets straight to dealing with the problems and misconceptions that we have developed in such a fast paced world.
It is a wonderful audiobook, highly recommend everybody to read it.

Not worth your time

Will not recommend it to anyone, the only highlight of this book is its bad language, don’t waste your time on it.

Didn't learn anything new.

Maybe it's just me - or maybe it's that I'm no longer a naive 20-something - but the book didn't teach me anything new. The rudest part of the book is the smattering of swear words - which make it sound almost childish - and not some hard-hitting truth about life.

That said, the author tries way too hard trying to make his (obvious) point (and really only one point throughout), with the result that the book comes across as repetitive and laboured. Examples and anecdotes are almost essential in books like these that try to demystify a thought bubble, but the only "examples" in the book are not examples, but more thought bubbles. Even the author's narration seemed amateurish, maybe bored having to read his own boring book.

I'm very surprised the average rating for this book on Audible is as high as it is. So maybe it IS just me, after all..

Reality Check

The book helps you to know what you know and you don't know. becoming self aware is the major intent of the book.

Wonderfully Rude And Incredibly Important

I’ve read a lot of books and I’ve reviewed a lot of books but I will keep this one front and center in my mind. I can think of dozens of young people who will greet this book with relief because it tells them straight out how to live their lives. Elders will be afraid of the rough language but they should plow through anyway. Gangwar has hit the bullseye on the difference between intelligence and knowledge; right and wrong; thinking and reacting. Original. Incredible.
