About this listen

In the US, more than half of households have a pet - usually more than one. They’re usually considered members of the family, and some of us even call them our “furry children”. The strength of the human-pet bond tells us as much or more about ourselves as it does about our pets, and in this audiobook, we look at why dogs and cats behave the way they do and what makes our bond with them so strong.

as per the title, you do get a lot of experiments and the observation. Like why do cats throw things off the shelf, how to approach and talk to dog, how childhood trauma impacts a dog's life etc. Yes there were heart warming things about animal grieving, helping each other etc. But i really wonder how can humans take so long to establish this fact that animals also form attachment or empathy just like another human. The evolution of cats and dogs was nice to read, and so was the population traits of what kind of people had what kind of pets.

Very clinical in approach
