Publisher's Summary

It's time to face the final trial....

The battle for Camp Jupiter is over. New Rome is safe. Tarquin and his army of the undead have been defeated. Somehow Apollo has made it out alive, with a little bit of help from the Hunters of Artemis.

But though the battle may have been won, the war is far from over.

Now Apollo and Meg must get ready for the final - and, let's face it, probably fatal - adventure. They must face the last emperor, the terrifying Nero, and destroy him once and for all.

Can Apollo find his godly form again? Will Meg be able to face up to her troubled past? Destiny awaits....

Superb Narration

Narrator has done a superb job by actually expressing the emotions of the characters. Would like more narrators to narrate like this.

Doesn't feel like a finale, but good

Unlike Rick Riordan's previous works, this not a complete happy ending.
Loved the last line.

Ends as expected

Rick didn't show much creativity to the plot, yet his way of writing is witty and interesting as always. Overall it's a decent end to the series. I am getting too old for Rick Riordan books, now I can happily say goodbye and move on. Thanks Rick for your work, you made my childhood intresting.

Love it!! But am very sad it ended😭

I love Robbie Daymond's narration, it's great as always. I love how this ended but I'm sad it's the last Camp Half-Blood chronicles.

My main issue was that I (personally) felt didn't feel like there were very high stakes till the last 10 chapters, unlike The Burning Maze (the best) and The Tyrant's Tomb. However, I still love it as this was the ending of the chronicles and that we revisited (almost) everyone. I also loved Apollo's character development in this book. He is so different compared to The Hidden Oracle.

There are many other characters and things I love but I like to keep this short so those were my main thoughts. (and no spoilers so I'm not saying anything more)

so much to tie up so little time :)

I'm a 30 Yr. Old man , have listened to well over 200+ audio books, and I love all of these 20+ books and I wish it never had to end.
I first listened to this series 2 yrs ago and feel in love with the adventure and story... I think since I listened and didn't read these books I found myself not focusing on the fact that its written for middle school students but instead just hearing the great journeys unraveled in its pages... and now we come to an end of these and its sad but with the disney + and the netflix shows and the few open stories I spied in the last half if the book I am hopeful for the future or percy and his world.
also I hope that the other authors under the Uncle Rick umbrella get their works turned into audio so I can listen to them ;)

Thank you Rick

I can't describe how much I love this story, and I can't believe it's coming to an end.

Let's just say it's an "melancholy" feeling ;)

I’ll miss you, Apollo

Just like the rest of the series, this book is filled with adventure, excitement, danger, character growth, impossible odds, the right amount of sentiment, and a great sense of humor. I might listen to the audiobook version of the earlier books just because the performance is that good!

A HAIKU OF PRAISE

This is amazing,
Wow, why am I still crying?
'Cause it's just so good.

...

...

No seriously, I'm in tears. I love this entire universe so much, and this book is a beautiful end to a beautiful series, and I can't wait for more. There is so much else I want to see, so many characters stories I want to follow. Piper, Will and Niko, Percy and Annabeth, Raina, Frank and Hazel, Lavinia and, of course, Meg. I can't wait for the next one, and whoever it is, whatever happens, I'll be there, page by page, chapter by chapter. Listening.

OMG so funny

the only thing better than reading rick riordan is having them read to you. the reader is REALLY good, I like him nearly as much as Stephen fry easy to listen to and a few funny voices but mostly it sounds like he could really be Apollo talking to you.

Utterly awesome book and amazing series

If you are reading this review it means that I have finished this book, although this may be the final chapter in this fantastic tale, as sad as I am that this series has come to an end, I feel as though I have been on this turbulent and heartwarming journey, I am confident that Rick will continue the story in some shape or form!
