Story
When Jessica Farris signs up for a psychology study conducted by the mysterious Dr Shields, she thinks all she’ll have to do is answer a few questions, collect her money and leave. But as the questions grow more and more intense and invasive, and the sessions become outings where Jess is told what to wear and how to act, she begins to feel as though Dr Shields may know what she’s thinking...and what she’s hiding. As Jess’ paranoia grows, it becomes clear that she can no longer trust what is real in her life and what is one of Dr Shields’ manipulative experiments.

Publisher's Summary
Now a New York Times top 10 best seller.
When you listen to this book, you will make many assumptions.
It's about a jealous wife, obsessed with her replacement.
It's about a younger woman set to marry the man she loves.
The first wife seems like a disaster; her replacement is the perfect woman.
You will assume you know the motives, the history, the anatomy of the relationships.
You will be wrong.
The Wife Between Us is the first collaboration between Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen; a gripping thriller with film rights sold to the creators of The Girl On the Train.

Clever, highly contrived plot
Couldn't take a break. Such suspense. it is chick lit all right but bit, do the authors toy with you. Every cliché from every silly romance novel is, used to keep the reading light but the plot. That's the winner. I wouldn't have read it but as an audiobook, it was perfect for me.

Just awful
What a waste of 9 hours, luckily I listen to audible when I’m busy doing other things or if have been very upset,
There is no twist whatsoever unless you count the weird unlikely ‘coincidence’ in the epilogue.
There was no character building, I didn’t like any of the people in the book except perhaps the very small part of long suffering Aunt Charlotte. The main character is dull, boring and weak. Her husband is a 2 dimensional person from the start. I couldn’t care less what happened to them. I only kept listening because the other reviews promised twists and turns..
Spoiler alert: it’s a very common story of slightly controlling man married weak woman, he pays for everything so she should be grateful. He tries to control her by making her think she’s going mad- but honestly it’s the weakest control storyline I’ve ever read or met in real life, I have known people in far more unhealthy relationships than thus book tried to credit.
During the conversation between the 2 authors they say how complicated the story is! No, it isn’t, it’s boring and very obvious.

Stunning Edge of The Seat Thriller
I absolutely loved this book and could not stop listening to it. There were so many twists none of which I anticipated and the final twist was a real surprise. This book was so well written the characters well defined and the dialogue sharp and interesting. I also enjoyed the narrator and felt she brought real life to the characters. I cannot wait for the next book from these authors.

I got this for the reviews and honestly it wasn't as good as i had expected but i think that's more because i wanted a thriller and this is more a domestic relationships sort of book. It just wasn't as thrilling as i had hoped, but it was interesting enough that was intruiged to finish and find out how it ended so a 6/10 for me

Really good book but left me confused
Starting this book, I was thoroughly enjoying it. It was easy to understand and had a good storyline. Around chapter 25 I became really confused and unsure if I had misunderstood everything before it. I continued and it eventually all came together in the end but I really had to concentrate and think hard to follow some parts which is not an issue I have had with other books. Great storyline in the end.
