Simple but amazing

The story evolved with every word and every chapter. I dived into the book without even reading the excerpt. Listening to books is new to me, so it took me a while to finish it. But the wait was worth it. The complexity of the situation of Arin and Kestrel was given to us in little bits and pieces. I can't wait to see how the trilogy pans out.

Good but not great

I liked the story initially it was quite interesting but as it progressed it became more about war and strategy than the dynamics of the main characters. Overall a good read but I was not enticed to listen to the sequels of it.
