Publisher's Summary

What do sporting champions do, what makes winning teams, who is a good leader, why do only some teams keep winning while others win only for a while and then lose?

Two IIMA alumni, Sports commentator and writer Harsha Bhogle and advertising and communication consultant Anita Bhogle, dig into examples from sport to see how they can benefit managers. Contrary to popular perception, ability is not a major distinguishing factor in success, especially as the level of competition increases. But if you combine your ability with the right attitude and the passion to excel, you too can become the best that you can be. That is the universal formula for winning that The Winning Way explores. For Anita and Harsha Bhogle, this book marks the completion of 300 successful corporate workshops of The Winning Way that they run.

Issue with the sample

Initially I was bit skeptical to buy this book. Sample audio book which was provided is not of Harsha Bhogle's voice. So it is quite confusing the beginning. After seeing the review I purchased this. By the way, this is not narrated only by harsha, it has been narrated by Anita as well.

Otherwise, great book for the cricket fan who wants to learn from it.

Makes a lot easier to see what we lack

formula books like these have always been boring as a whole. But since it shows many parallels in the sports world, it helps understand how team dynamic, leadership and adaptability are as important in industry as they are in sports.
The book forces me to introspect my daily work life. Helps me motivate myself to strive harder for the team, help others who are struggling, and maintaining a positive attitude.
Harsha and Anita Bhogle's voice in the narration added a lot of awe and familiarity. And Rahul Dravid's voice is calm as ever.
A must read/hear for any working professional of any experience level.

The book provides interesting anecdotes from cricket that are applicable in the corporate world. Although I expected it to go deeper it is a good read nevertheless

Powerful book on leadership

If you follow cricket and know a bit about top Indian brands, this will perhaps be the most interesting books you'd read on leadership. I've read multiple books on leadership, and would put this one at the top
