Narrator sounds like she's trying to read a children's book, no matter what is being said.

Enjoy the cover art then look elsewhere.

This book has an interesting premise and while there are a few bumps of verbiage, from either the editing or narrating, it wasn't enough to cause me to stop. I eventually made it within 2 hours of the end and still found myself wondering "So what?". The characters are all given some sort of mental/emotional issue and that's it. The story progresses and the characters "grow" partially overcoming their beginning states but it is not relatable nor does it spark any sense of empathy or sympathy.

The MC has this horrible complex of "oh don't look at me" and "ugh, I have to talk to people.. again" which magically gets turned around by an owl that has had no previous human interaction. And yes, it is weird to desire the smell of owl.

Was really good

honestly can't wait for the next one I was a little weary of it at first but it got way better and obscura cracks me up.

Different but fun

If you are on the fence about a new fantasy book this book is different then most I read but it is also fun and light with some tense moments definitely a good listen
