Money - investing, personal finance, and business decisions - is typically taught as a math-based field, where data and formulas tell us exactly what to do. But in the real world people don’t make financial decisions on a spreadsheet. They make them at the dinner table, or in a meeting room, where personal history, your own unique view of the world, ego, pride, marketing, and odd incentives are scrambled together. In The Psychology of Money, award-winning author Morgan Housel shares 19 short stories exploring the strange ways people think about money.

Excellent insights
I truly enjoyed reading this book.
A friend of mine, moving from a senior manager role, eyeing a COO position, recommended it. He mentioned the profound impact many of the small things he did every day prior to reading the book, and the changes he had made since, as key reasons for his ascent to the COO position.
I’ve picked up on at least a half dozen things I routinely failed to control and am hoping that I also show improvement towards everyone, my family and friends included.
Would highly recommend this book to anyone, for any reason, as we all have room to improve ourselves.
Thank you for writing this book, Marshall.

Yes! Do Read it!
I'm so grateful to my friend who told me about this book. After having read it - I think it is a must-read for everybody and not just for those who are involved in managing and leadership.
Very interestingly Marshall Goldsmith talks about 20 most common "bad habit" many CEOs have. I must admit I have found myself guilty in some of those, of course! And also interesting to look around, and see what does other do and don't do: including my peers, my management, senior management.
Most importantly, I liked recommendations and the ideas from the book like the concept of feeding forward and measuring our soft goals.
Yes, recommended !

Fantastic book, well narrated!
I have learned so much from this book! The content is great, educational, informative and in some cases perhaps “common sense” that you never ever thought of. Studying leadership in an MBA programme, this fits in perfectly with what I’m learning (and experiencing in the work place). I’ve just finished listening to it and am going to listen to it again.
Highly recommended.

I found this book quite repetitive - the message could have been delivered in 1/3 of the time and became quite boring.
I had to finish it as I'm in a business book club and this was the book chosen.
I'm also a business owner and it's aimed at potential high fliers in my opinion.
