Publisher's Summary

‘Devdutt Pattanaik is an exponent of myths, using them [to] deepen storytelling, and obtain a sense of life and living.’ (Scroll.in)

Hindu mythology is vast and voluminous. There is so much we don’t know or that has not been presented in a simplified way, making sense to contemporary times.

This special omnibus edition brings together two best-selling books by Devdutt Pattanaik, India’s most famous and renowned mythologist. My Gita and My Hanuman Chalisa are part of a series where Devdutt does ‘darshan’ of the scriptures, not just gods, and helps listeners navigate through scriptures that seem forbidding (Bhagavad Gita) and simple ones whose sophistication is often overlooked (Hanuman Chalisa).

just Fantastic...!!

It opens a new realm altogether in understanding Gita.. best version read as not dictated in synchronous format which worked wonders... so many dots joined from other texts which helped understanding on how karmic cycle worked...
part 2 : Hanuman chalisa was also worth understanding.. author have tried to give more deep perspective .. huge respect for the author.. m a fanboy now of this particular book

Great book

I've been wanting to know about the Gita from a long time. This book gives an overview of the Gita as well as Shree Hanuman Chalisa.

a bit complex while listening

both the books are of very good knowledge. but listening in speed it's bit difficult to understand all the explanation sometimes. i felt this particularly for this book. no doubt of capability and quality of the book neither the reader.

Good Interpretation

The author's interpretation of both Gita and Hanuman Chalisa is good. I was motivated enough throughout to finish such a long book on a difficult subject.

But we should remember that it is His Gita, His Interpretation. But it is good, nevertheless.

exact copy of my Gita

Mr. Patnaik used to be so good now I feel he is trying to run a marathon in writing so he is just repeating the same thing .there is nothing new in this book
