About this listen

For years, multiple sclerosis (MS) was seen primarily as a disease affecting white women. This misconception has delayed diagnoses and treatment for many, especially in Black communities.

Data shows that Black patients may experience more aggressive disease progression and are often underrepresented in clinical trials. When research doesn't reflect the population, we miss critical differences in symptoms and responses to treatment.
