I don’t think anything can describe my next guest more than calling her a force of nature!

Parvinder Kaur Shergill is many things: an actress, producer, writer, film director, and a working NHS Hospital Doctor.

From an early age, Dr. Parvinder developed a passion for the arts and knew she always wanted to act. However, facing the difficulty of finding leading roles written for actresses from a South Asian ethnic background, she turned to her other passion, medicine, while continuing to act, write, and direct on the side.

Balancing both careers, she specialised in psychiatry while also co-producing and starring in the film "Kaur" alongside Stephen Uppal and Nina Wadia.

"Kaur" became BAFTA Qualified in 2024 and can be seen on ITVX and Netflix. The story isn’t over, as the film is currently being turned into a feature.
