About this listen
In August 1966, two Brazilian electronics technicians, Miguel Viana (34) and Manuel Pereira da Cruz (32), were found dead under mysterious circumstances on Vintém Hill, near Niterói, Brazil. The men were dressed in formal suits and raincoats, and wore lead masks with no eye holes.Nearby were unusual items: a bottle of mineral water, aluminum foil cups, towels, a coded note, and a cryptic instruction suggesting they were awaiting a signal after ingesting capsules. No cause of death was determined due to organ decomposition and limited toxicology resources.
