About this listen
Brace Yourselves for Your Best Life.
If you would prefer to WATCH this podcast, the video version premiers on YouTube at 3 PM Eastern time on 9/18/2025 here: https://youtu.be/fUqb7huuTf8
During the premier (at 3 PM) I plan to be in the live-chat, so if you are watching for that first showing, feel free to drop something in the chat so I know you’re there!
This episode of the “Manna from My Father’s Hand” podcast continues on with the series about the body of Christ and documenting my recovery from a fractured wrist. This particular video was filmed fairly early on in that process, while my wrist was in a brace.
The spiritual lesson spoken as a word picture had to do with our tendency to prefer to avoid pain, even when enduring such things is actually often to our benefit, allowing us to have full and effective healing.
Here are links to earlier videos in this series (and more episodes will be posted in the coming months as well):

At the end of this podcast is a live version of “Just A Closer Walk With Thee” from the concert in Ocean Grove, NJ from earlier in the day on which I fractured my wrist.
Here is the video of that song: https://youtu.be/DHrk4zF4yxc
This version includes a verse to this hymn written by Lisa Prokopowitz (CCLI Song number: 7162197).
Closing remarks use one of Lisa’ songs called “Good Morning, Lord” (from her Fill This Temple CD) available here:

May we all be encouraged to stay close to Jesus, identifying with Him in the pain that He suffered on our behalf, ESPECIALLY when life becomes difficult, challenging and sorrowful….
