W.A.S.P.のセルフタイトルデビューアルバムは、1984年8月17日にキャピトル・レコードからリリースされた。しばしば「W.A.S.P.」または「Winged Assassins」と呼ばれるこのアルバムは、80年代ヘヴィメタルとショックロックの金字塔であり、「I Wanna Be Somebody」や「L.O.V.E. Machine」といったヒット曲を収録している。このアルバムによってバンドは、荒々しく、物議を醸すような、エネルギッシュなサウンドで確固たる地位を築いた。

1989年にリリースされたウォレントのデビューアルバム　「Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich」（邦題：マネーゲーム）について少し探って行こうと思います。凄腕ギターリストが売りの時代にはこんな裏話が多々あったんですね。

「State of Euphoria」はアンスラックスによる4作目のスタジオ・アルバムで、1988年9月19日にMegaforce/Island Recordsからリリースされた。前作のブレイク作「Among the Living」に続く本作に纏わる裏話を少し紹介します。知っとったらゴメンな。

Def Leppardの名盤「Pyromania」のレコーディングの裏話をバンドメンバーやプロデューサーのインタビューから抜粋して語ります。当然この内容をご存知の方も沢山おられると承知してます。が、還暦近い私のようなオッチャンで「え、知らんかった」という方も存在すると思いアップしました。
