    On today's season ending edition of the cast, we recap the 2025-26 Northeastern men's hockey campaign with a look back at their final three games against UMass Lowell, Maine, and BC, including their Hockey East opening round win against UNH and their loss to the UMass Minutemen in the quarterfinals that ended their season. We take a look back at some of the positives from this season, including some unexpected wins in the first half against Denver and some heartbreaking losses in the second half including their gutwrenching loss to BU in the Matthews Arena grand finale. We talk about what the future of the team looks like with the departure of Vinny Borgesi and potentially many other players leaving via the portal. We also talk about how Northeastern Athletics needs to do better in terms of communicating better effectively with the fans and not leaving them high and dry while they're waiting for the new arena to be built and having to schlep around on the road for the foreseeable future.

  • Episode 42: Beanpot Semis Loss Recap, Look Back on UConn Loss and Providence Split

    On today's all new edition of 7th Corner, we recap the Huskies early exit from the Beanpot Semis as they got trounced by BU in a shootout. We dissect everything that went wrong for the Huskies, and how they almost had a chance after an interference call on BU gave the Huskies a power play late in the OT period, but they couldn't capitalize. We go over the chances the Huskies had and how they've lost momentum and some of their grit and determination from the first half of the season. We also go over their loss against UConn at Bentley Arena, and also go over this past weekend's split against Providence which gives the team a glimmer of hope, and I give you an update on the Huskies current spot in the Hockey East standings as they have a slight chance of getting home ice advantage if they can string together some W's late in the season.

We recap all the games to further examine the Huskies power outage at offense, and how the Huskies need to quickly turn things around before this season becomes a lost cause. We also take a look at the Huskies current win-loss record, and how they can still quickly turn things around if they want to get on a little run before the end of the season. The attention shifts towards the Beanpot Semis tomorrow night at The Garden vs. BU, and how they can use this as motivation to light a fire under their butts and recapture some of their early season magic again.

We also chat about their recent sweep of UNH and how that has given them some added mojo as they head off to Lawler Rink to face Merrimack later on this week.

  • Episode 39: Matthews Arena Finale Recap

    On today's special edition of 7th Corner, we recap the Huskies grand finale as we bid farewell to Matthews Arena in a grand send-off ceremony that saw the Huskies come out short in their battle against BU, losing 4-3. We recap all the game action, and how the Huskies nearly won the game late, but fell victim to two late goals from BU that left some fans disappointed, but nevertheless held their heads high. I also recap the sendoff ceremony that saw the Huskies bring out players from their years past including Art Chisholm, Wayne Turner, and Jordan Harris to represent the different decades of Huskies hockey that have called Matthews Arena their home over the years. I also give you some personal thoughts over my travels to Matthews as a season ticket holder for the last 8 years, and talk about some emotional and poignant moments that have represented why I love Huskies hockey so much, and what it means to me personally and how much the team has become like an extended family to me with all the different players that have put on the uniform over the years.

And finally, we talk about the Matthews Arena grand farewell against BU on Saturday and give you the three things you need to know, plus some information about pregame festivities and the post game ceremony, plus I give you some personal thoughts on some of my favorite moments, games, and memories from Matthews over the years and what led me to becoming a Husky fan in the first place.

We talk about how goalie Quentin Sigurdson came through in an emergency situation due to the unexpected injury involving Lawton Zacher and delivering two quality starts that shows his versatility and as a valuable commodity coming off the bench. We also take a look at the goal distribution coming from all the freshmen on the team, and how this plan of attack is paying off early dividends for the Huskies and making them a more balanced and complete team in the process. I also recap the Huskies Thanksgiving weekend matchup last weekend against Brown as they took care of the Bears 4-1, and how Dylan Hryckowian has come through as the spirited and true leader of this team, capable of anything he sees fit and who just received the Hockey East Player of the Month award for November.
