About this listen
Two sons. One promise. And God told him to let one go.
In this episode we walk through one of the most painful
chapters in Abraham's life — the casting out of Hagar
and Ishmael, the narrowing of the covenant to Isaac
alone, and what it means that God was with Ishmael in
providence but not in covenant.
Abraham loved both sons. But God's sovereign plan
required an impossible choice. And the ripple effects
are still felt today.
And ultimately — how all of it points to Jesus, the Son
of Promise who was not spared so that we could be.
