    My very first guest is Anand Varma, a National Geographic photographer and Explorer based in Berkeley, California. With his background in biology, Anand uses innovative photographic techniques – sometimes making his own equipment – to capture the natural world in ways that have never been seen. His photographs have shown the hidden life cycles of bees, lightning-fast hummingbird behavior, and jaw-dropping close-ups of parasites that take over insects' bodies. On this episode he shares how he recently realized he had ADHD and took his methodical scientific approach to figuring out his brain.
