About this listen

All The Things is for moms who want to reclaim their whole self and live their truest life. We all deserve to live and express ourselves authentically. In order to do that, we‘ve got to know ourselves. This podcast is the examination of just that - all the things that make us who we are. Because the better we understand ourselves, the more good we can do in this world. All The Things will feature interviews, conversations and reflections on topics such as self-identity, motherhood, trauma, healing, community, creativity, art, race, writing, personality tests and so on. I‘m Lisa Chin, host and creator of this podcast, mom, writer and coach and many other things. I believe the world would be a better place if we could each live an inspired life. I can‘t wait to share this journey with you. To learn more about me, visit my blog Lisa For Real at www.lisaforreal.com or find me on Instagram @itslisaforreal.Copyright 2021 All rights reserved. • The Journey In - 1 - Intuition vs. Trauma
    Nov 15 2022

I shared an image that reads “Learn to differentiate between the sound of your intuition guiding you and your traumas misleading you.” A friend asked "How do you do that?"

This episode is my response. I share some definitions of intuition and trauma and how they can manifest in our decision making. I also share how you can hone in on the ability to differentiate and some simple exercises you can do.

This was originally a Facebook Live from my new group - The Journey In | live inspired. live empowered. If you'd like to be part of future discussions, join the group! See you there.

  • Empathy in unlearning and the pendulation of motherhood
    May 9 2022

JoAnna Bennett, the first guest of this season, returns to interview me in this finale episode to close out the season.

We speak of how empathy plays a role in unlearning. As mothers of young children, we pontificate how we will raise teenagers. I share another take on how the village supports a mother as well as how I see motherhood pendulating from generation to generation.

We wrap up the episode on my favorite learnings from each guest as well as what Season 3 may bring.

So many thanks to JoAnna for guest hosting!

I'll see you in Season 3 after a hiatus.
