  • The Great Flood
    May 7 2026

The Bible’s flood narrative is found in the Book of Genesis. The story begins with “The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth” (Gen. 6:5). God therefore intends to destroy all of humanity, except for Noah, his wife, his three sons, and their wives, since Noah was the only righteous man (Gen. 7:1). God commands Noah to build an ark with specific dimensions (150 meters long, 25 meters wide, 15 meters high, Gen. 6:15). Noah is instructed to bring his family aboard as well as a pair of every living creature (seven pairs of clean four-footed animals and birds according to Gen. 7:2–3).

According to the flood narrative, God tells Noah that it would rain for 40 days and nights. Seven days after Noah and all the animals entered the ark, the flood comes, and “the springs of the great deep burst forth.” The water rises so that it covers the highest mountains. All life on earth is destroyed, but “the waters prevailed on the earth 150 days” (Gen. 7:24). After that, the rain stops: “the fountains of the deep and the windows of the heavens were closed, the rain from the heavens was restrained” (Gen. 8:2). When the water begins to recede, the ark comes to rest on the mountains of Ararat (Gen. 8:4). Noah then first sends out a raven and then a dove to see if the water had receded from the ground. The dove returns with an olive leaf in its beak as a sign that the land had begun to appear. Noah, his family, and the animals leave the ark after one year and ten days. Genesis chapter 9 then describes God’s covenant with Noah. God promises that never again will a flood destroy the earth, and as a sign of the covenant, he sets a bow in the clouds (the rainbow).

It is from the story of the flood that the symbol of the dove of peace with the olive branch originates.

Psalm 104:8 suggests where the water went after the rain stopped (according to the 1917 translation): “The mountains rose, and the valleys sank down, to the place that you appointed for them.” The Bible 2000 translation renders it: “up the mountains, down into the valleys, and they stayed where you appointed for them.”

  • Druids, Merlin, and outer space
    May 6 2026

Druidism is an ancient religious and philosophical system that originates from Celtic societies in Europe, particularly in areas that are today Ireland, Great Britain, and France. Druids were the priesthood and wise figures in Celtic societies and played a significant role in religion, philosophy, politics, and education.

Druids were believed to have a deep understanding of nature, the cosmos, and spiritual forces. They performed ceremonies, rituals, and sacrifices to gods and spirits to promote good harvests, health, and protection against evil forces. Druidism also had a strong connection to the social structures and laws of Celtic society.

However, there is limited historical information about the druids, and much of their practices and teachings have survived in the form of myths, legends, and interpretations from later periods. Modern druidic movements, such as neo-druidism, have emerged and attempt to recreate or adapt ancient druidic traditions for today’s society. These movements typically emphasize nature, spirituality, wisdom, and community.

  • Egyptian tombs and reincarnation
    May 5 2026

Reincarnation is a belief found in many religious and philosophical traditions, where it is assumed that a person's soul or consciousness can be reborn into a new body after death. This cycle of rebirth continues until the soul reaches a state of enlightenment or fulfillment, depending on the belief system.

In Hinduism, reincarnation is linked to the concept of karma, where one's actions in previous lives determine the circumstances of their rebirth. Similarly, in Buddhism, reincarnation is connected to the cycle of samsara, where beings are trapped in a cycle of birth, death, and rebirth until they achieve nirvana, a state of liberation from suffering.

The idea of reincarnation has also appeared in various other cultures and belief systems throughout history, although the details can vary greatly. Some people find comfort in the idea of reincarnation and see it as an opportunity for personal growth and learning across multiple lifetimes, while others may view it skeptically or dismiss it entirely.

    KV55

In the tomb KV55, a number of different findings were discovered, including:

Human remains: The human remains in the tomb belonged to a middle-aged man. The identity of this individual has been the subject of speculation and debate, with theories suggesting it could be Pharaoh Akhenaten, Smenkhkare, or even Akhenaten.

Artifacts: The tomb also contained a variety of artifacts, including pottery, jewelry, and other objects typical of tombs from that period.

Gold and jeweled objects: There were also several items made of gold and precious stones, reflecting the rich cultural and material environment in which the pharaohs lived.

Inscriptions: There were inscriptions and hieroglyphs on the walls of the tomb, contributing to the understanding of its historical and cultural significance.

  • Handbags on ancient sculptures
    May 4 2026

    What is the mysterious handbag?

Many artworks found on cave walls dating back to the end of the Ice Age have resembled what is today known as a handbag or purse.

The design persisted in the ruins of ancient Turkish temples, Maori decorations from New Zealand, and crafts made by the Olmecs in Central America.

    Earliest discovery

The ruins of Göbekli Tepe, which date back to around 11,000 BC, are one of the earliest discoveries of the handbag.

The walls and pillars throughout the temple are decorated with intricate carvings of animals, gods, mythical creatures, and three handbags.

  • Tutankhamun’s dagger, metal spheres, and orichalcum.
    May 3 2026

Tutankhamun’s dagger is a unique artifact that was found in his burial chamber in the Valley of the Kings in 1925. The dagger is known for its unusual choice of material and technical complexity. What makes it particularly interesting is that the iron in the blade contains high levels of nickel, which has led to theories that it may have originated from a meteorite. This possible connection to space has given rise to speculation about extraterrestrial involvement in ancient Egypt and in the manufacture of this dagger.

Orichalcum: The Legendary Metal from Atlantis

Orichalcum is a legendary metal that is mentioned in Plato’s dialogues as one of the noble metals used by the mythical people of Atlantis. However, there are no known examples of actual finds of orichalcum, and its existence remains a mystery. Some theories suggest that it may have been a metal with extraordinary properties created by extraterrestrials or by an advanced human civilization, but this is pure speculation without scientific support.

In summary, objects such as metal spheres, Tutankhamun’s dagger, and orichalcum have attracted great attention and speculation regarding their origin and manufacturing methods. While some interpret them as evidence of extraterrestrial technology or presence, these theories require further research and evidence to be confirmed. These mysteries continue to stimulate the imagination and inspire further exploration of the unknown.
