Today is day one of a preliminary hearing expected to last all week for 23-year-old Tyler Robinson. Robinson is facing the death penalty for the September 10th murder of Charlie Kirk, who was shot and killed while speaking to a crowd of 3 thousand people at Utah Valley University. Prosecutors will be laying out its evidence against Robinson, which will include a video taped statement from Robinson’s former roommate and romantic partner, to convince a judge there is enough proof to go to trial. The hearing, which will resemble a mini-trial, will be live-streamed and will mark the first time Charlie Kirk’s widow Erica and his parents will be face-to-face with Robinson.

Headlines have been popping up since Friday that Trump may consider adding Sean Diddy Combs to his pardon list in honor of our nation’s 250th anniversary. Trump reportedly wants to pardon 250 people for our 250th celebrations. On Friday, Trump pardoned 11 people, most of whom were convicted on emissions violations of the Clean Air Act, but the question remains will he pardon more in the coming days. Hours before the July 2nd deadline imposed by a federal judge, the Department of Justice asked the judge for 60 more days OR accept its reasoning why it would not produce unredacted versions of several documents. The reasoning included protecting victims, protecting people from disturbing allegations without context and it even used “the dog ate my homework” excuse. 67-year-old David Hearn, who represented the United States in three Olympics as a canoeist, is now fighting for his freedom. U.S. Attorney for D.C. Jeanine Pirro announced the felony charge against Hearn after she says he “violently” and “maliciously” destroyed 2 square feet of reflecting pool liner. Attorneys and the family of 1-year-old Kohen Wiley say a preliminary autopsy contradicts the police version of events that led to Kohen’s death. Officers claim Kohen’s mom and her friend were driving their vehicle towards police as they were trying to flee a Walmart after reportedly stealing a box of diapers. Ohio officials revealed the latest chilling details on the 16 children discovered in a rural Ohio house this week, saying if they had been found 24 hours later, “there was a very high probability that we’d be dealing with a death or multiple deaths of these children.” Police on the scene said some of the kids, who range from 18 months to 18-years-old, couldn’t speak or communicate, saying they looked like feral animals. There are so many questions surrounding the four adults living in the home, now charged with 16 counts of child endangerment, facing life in prison for this unthinkable abuse.
