After an introduction to fellow Disk Jockey DJ Speech, DJ Kemit's story begins in 1985 while in a six-piece turn-table college band. By 1992 he'd relocated to Atlanta, GA, and set out to tour with Speech and the group Arrested Arrested Development. In this conversation, Dj Kermit discusses the creation and evolution of Neo Soul from the perspective of the producer/DJ who traveled the world pioneering a new sound.
