    Sep 19 2024

    Send us a text

    Hello friends!

In this episode we discuss some famous (and not so famous... although quite ridiculous) battles in history! Now if you're wondering where episode 19 is, it will be available soon Patreon - we discuss some pretty heavy topics around the Aztecs and even though it was such a great episode, we felt it was better on that platform considering some of the material discussed...

In this episode (Ep. 20 Famous Battles) Belle starts off with giving us the run down on the Australian Emu Wars (which us Aussies may or may not have actually lost...). Belle also discusses a ridiculously petty war over a bucket that we can't believe actually happened. Raquel then talks about the Pastry War fought in Mexico, as well as some battles fought in the Netherlands against the Spanish!

We hope you liked this episode! If you have any topics you think we should discuss next, let us know - we love to hear from you!

  • Ep. 17 The Roman Empire: Weird AF Theories, Strange Artefacts, the Founding of Rome Etc.
    Aug 27 2024

    Send us a text

In this very fun episode, Belle and Raquel take a dive into the world of the Roman Empire. First up, Belle tells us of the most ridiculous theory we have ever possibly heard... apparently the Roman Empire never existed! She also gives details on the founding of Rome and a very important archaeological site that may prove some of it true! Raquel then talks about an incredibly strange artefact - the Roman Dodecahedron - and how archaeologists are totally stumped by it. She then has a little talk about a very cool Roman site on the Danube, with some fascinating historical features.

Let us know what you think of the theory - and if you have any suggestions on what you think the Dodecahedron is all about, we've love to hear from you!

In this EPIC episode, Belle and Raquel dive into the world of Medieval Europe!
Raquel begins by discussing some wildly insane facts (*disclaimer - we hope these are facts, because we ourselves can't quite believe they're true), the origins of football and a little tiny bit about espionage. Belle then gives us a crash course on the Vikings who went east into Russia, and gives us an insight into a Medieval community with weird teeth...

    Enjoy!
