About this listen
In Armor Up, Pastor Owen Mason reminds believers that the battles we face are spiritual, not merely physical or emotional. Drawing from Ephesians 6:10–20, the message emphasizes that victory comes from standing strong in the Lord’s power, not our own strength. God provides His full armor so that we can withstand the enemy’s schemes and remain firm in the evil day.
The story of David illustrates this spiritual truth. Long before David faced Goliath, God prepared him through private battles—lions, bears, and moments of faithful obedience. David’s confidence did not come from armor or weapons but from remembering God’s past deliverance. Likewise, believers must identify their greatest obstacles and confront them with faith rooted in God’s faithfulness.
The sermon highlights that we do not fight from defeat, but from a position of authority. Through Christ, our old self has been crucified, and sin no longer has dominion over us. The enemy may roar like a lion, but his authority is limited, and he must flee when resisted through submission to God.
Finally, believers are called to bring every thought into alignment with God’s Word. Strongholds are demolished not by human effort but by divine truth. By submitting to God, resisting the devil, and taking every thought captive to obey Christ, believers walk in victory. Prayer, perseverance, and spiritual alertness keep the armor secure as we stand boldly as ambassadors for Christ.
