Enter, ye of little faith! Back Row at Bank Street starts its new season now. In "A Faithless Franchise" we are covering sequels, prequels and in-between of 1973's The Exorcist. We begin this journey with 2025's Dominion: A Prequel to the Exorcist, directed by the legendary Paul Schrader. Ab and Al actually like this movie a lot and agree that it is thematically very rich. We talk Calvinism, Catholicism, Colonialism and CGI hyenas. Is it scary? Is it worthy of the brand name "Exorcist"? Does anyone else see what we see in it? Listen and let us know what you think!

Have a seat, grab some Swig, and listen to us discuss bad prose and bad screenwriting, this movie's bizarre premise, and how it all relates to a certain theological point of view. We also talk about moral panics and the messages this movie may or may not be imparting. Is there a perfect vampire boyfriend out there?

Lucky episode 13 takes the Blood Drive to 2022 to talk about the Interview With the Vampire, the series! Ab and Al are obsessive completionists and we're going to go through the adaptations of these Anne Rice vamps. This ain't the novel, but it's a fascinating take on the source material. Louis is different, Claudia is different, Daniel is way different, Armand is mean. But it comes together very well and we like it. Great actors, none of which are Jared Leto. We need the Daniel style of journalism back. Tell us what you think!
