Do you wish you could balance work, homeschooling, and being present with your family? Do you wish you could confidently address overwhelm and decision paralysis? Do you need a daily, weekly, monthly plan that is simple, yet effective in managing all the different areas of your life?

I'm so glad you are here! This podcast is going to help you create a plan for more presence in your real life while you balance work and homeschool. You will learn how to overcome overwhelm and become confident in your ability to homeschool while working too.

Hi there! I am Courtney, Daughter of the King, mom of 4, and wife to my college sweetheart. I’ve been balancing working, outside of the home and from home, while homeschooling for the last 9 years.

As a working mom of four, I am pulled in so many directions at all times which used to feel overwhelming, disjointed, and difficult to focus on my family. I felt like I could never be fully present or able to focus on whatever task I had in front of me whether it was homeschool or work.

I soon recognized that something needed to change so that I could enjoy homeschool and my family while keeping work in its lane too. I had a set vision for my homeschool that included flexibility and a peaceful home so I knew it was time to make changes.

I created plans that truly fit my real life as a busy mom of many—simple, sustainable, and easy to follow. These routines allow my mind to focus on what really matters. I’m excited to share ways to balance work and homeschool with you.

If you are ready to be present with your family, confident in your homeschool, and manage your daily life with peace and balance, this podcast is for you! Pour yourself a cup of tea, stack those books on the table, and let’s get to work.

    • Budget-friendly fun: library programs, friends' pools, minor league baseball, parks, picnics, movie dates
    • Keeping learning simple: math practice, Scripture, memory work, library books
    • Finding work-life balance without doing it all
    • Choosing connection over perfection

  • 15 | Raise More Independent Kids With This Simple Habit
    Jul 6 2026
    • Have you ever spent the night before a trip frantically packing every suitcase, hunting down toothbrushes, and wondering why you're the only one stressed?
    • Have you ever realized that in trying to make life easier for your kids, you might actually be teaching them that you'll handle everything?
    • What if a simple packing list could become one of the most powerful tools for building independence, responsibility, and confidence in your children—starting today?
    Episode Highlights of This Episode

Hey Momma! In this episode, I'm getting real about the season when trips, even long weekend ones, left me overwhelmed, trying to keep track of every detail while feeling like I was the only one carrying the weight of it. I share the moment I realized my kids weren't unhelpful—they'd simply never been taught how to help. From there, we dig into four practical shifts that changed everything in our home:

    • Teach the process, not just the task — how asking questions instead of giving answers builds real problem-solving skills
    • Create reusable packing lists — simple systems for weekend trips, beach days, church camp, and more that your kids can eventually run on their own
    • Involve your kids in everyday household management — beyond packing, into lunches, laundry, and other daily responsibilities
    • Remember the real goal — because raising capable, confident adults matters more than a perfectly packed suitcase

If you've ever felt like you're managing every detail on your own, this episode offers a hopeful, doable path forward.

  • 14 | New to Homeschooling? Don't Start With Curriculum
    Jul 2 2026
    • Are you new to homeschooling and feeling overwhelmed by all the curriculum options?
    • Have you spent more time researching homeschool curriculum than thinking about what your family's daily rhythm should look like?
    • Are you wondering how to homeschool without feeling overwhelmed by schedules, lesson plans, and daily life?
    Episode Highlights

Hey Friend! You’ve been in that conversation, right? You know, the one where most people are talking about homeschooling and the conversation quickly turns to curriculum. Which math program should you choose? What's the best reading curriculum? Which planner is worth buying? While those are important questions, they aren't the foundation of a thriving homeschool.

In this episode, we're shifting the focus from curriculum to what truly creates a successful homeschool: your family's daily rhythms.

If you're just beginning your homeschool journey—or you're starting over after a difficult season—this episode will help you establish the routines that create peace, confidence, and flexibility before you ever crack open a curriculum guide.

Instead of chasing the "perfect" homeschool setup, you'll learn how simple, intentional rhythms can improve your time management, strengthen family connection, and help you build a homeschool that fits your unique family.

    Inside this episode, we discuss:

    • Why homeschool rhythms matter more than choosing the "perfect" homeschool curriculum
    • Protecting your relationship with your child during difficult homeschool days
    • Prioritizing connection over simply completing lessons
    • How a simple daily reset can reduce overwhelm and improve your homeschool
    • Building flexibility into your homeschool routine without sacrificing structure
    • Time management strategies that help homeschool and home life work together
    • Creating a peaceful family rhythm that supports learning and work-life balance

Whether you're a brand-new homeschool mom or simply looking to create a more sustainable homeschool routine, these three foundational rhythms will help you homeschool with greater confidence and less stress.

    Resources Daily Homeschool Reset Questions

At the end of each homeschool day, spend five minutes reflecting on questions like these:

    • What went really well today?
    • What felt difficult today?
    • What made my child light up?
    • Where did I notice frustration building?
    • What can I simplify tomorrow?
    • Is there anything we need to revisit, or can we move forward?
    • Did our homeschool reflect our family's priorities today?
    • How did we connect today?
    • What am I grateful for about today?
    • What is one small adjustment I can make tomorrow?

Small, consistent adjustments create long-term confidence and help your homeschool rhythm become more sustainable over time.

    Next Steps

If this episode encouraged you, be sure to subscribe to the podcast and leave a review so more homeschool moms can discover practical encouragement for creating peaceful family rhythms.

Remember, homeschool success isn't measured by finishing every workbook or finding the perfect curriculum. It's built through intentional time management, meaningful family connection, and flexible rhythms that allow your homeschool to flourish. When you prioritize relationships over perfection and consistency over complexity, you'll build a homeschool that reflects your family's values and gives you the confidence to enjoy the journey together.
