If you've worked with NMOS, you know that AMWA's Networked Media Open Specifications (NMOS) make it possible to control IP networks in much the same way you're used to in SDI, such as router control panels and keeping track of video sources and receivers in the network.

That said, you've also likely faced some of the challenges that can come up with SDP files within NMOS, such as getting all the receivers and transmitters to register themselves into the registry server and making that data available to the external control system so you can use your existing panels and equipment.
