  • 17 Thinking Traps That Prove Jesus Is Your Tool, Not Your Savior
    Jan 28 2026

    Send us a text

In this episode, I walk through 17 thinking traps (cognitive distortions) Christians commonly fall into without realizing it — and explain how these patterns reveal what we are functionally trusting to save us.

Using Hebrews 4:12 as the framework, this teaching applies Scripture surgically, separating soul from spirit to expose where Jesus has become the means to a savior rather than the Savior Himself.

    I explain:

    • The difference between faith-building seasons and stripping seasons
    • Why many believers love Jesus but still operate from misplaced trust
    • How trials reveal what we’re actually leaning on
    • Why thinking traps are not just psychological patterns, but spiritual indicators
    • How cognitive distortions show up specifically in Christian language and behavior
    • The connection between anxiety, overthinking, and functional saviors like control, certainty, healing, or outcomes

Each of the 17 thinking traps is defined, then applied to real Christian thought patterns — toward God, toward self, and toward others — to help identify where trust has subtly shifted away from Christ.

This episode is not about condemnation or questioning salvation.
It’s about awareness, discipleship, and returning Jesus to the center of trust.

  • Why Even Jesus Doesn't Stop the Ache (And What That Means for Your Faith)
    Jan 21 2026

    Send us a text

Why does nothing feel like enough?

You did everything right. You chose well. You married a good man or woman. You built community. You sought God. You healed. You showed up.

    And yet… something still aches.

    Not because you're ungrateful.

    Not because you chose wrong.

Not because your faith is weak.

But because you were made for something this world can't give you.

In this episode, I'm talking about the disillusionment no one prepares you for—the moment you realize that even Jesus doesn't make the longing stop the way you thought He would. Not because He's insufficient, but because you were made for unmediated communion with God, and right now, you're experiencing Him through mediation.

    This isn't cynicism. It's clarity.

And if you've ever felt like something's missing even when everything looks right… this is for you.

    What we cover:

    • Why knowing God makes the ache worse, not better
    • Why we were made for unmediated communion with God (and what that means)
    • The theology and psychology behind "eternity in the heart"
    • The biblical truth about longing in Romans 8 and Ecclesiastes
    • How to discern between healthy longing and relational dysfunction
    • What God actually gives (it's not what you think)
    • What peace really looks like when the ache doesn't go away

This episode is for you if:

    • You feel guilty for not being "satisfied in Christ"
    • You love your husband but still feel lonely
    • You're questioning if something's wrong with you
    • You've been told "Jesus is enough" but it doesn't feel true

    You're not broken. You're human.

And this conversation might be the permission you didn't know you needed.

  • Differentiation in Marriage: Why Love Without Self-Abandonment Is Biblical
    Jan 18 2026

    Send us a text

Most relationship breakdowns don’t happen because of conflict — they happen because one person collapses, overfunctions, or silences themselves to keep the relationship comfortable.

That is a failure of differentiation.

In this episode, we explore what differentiation actually is, why it is essential for healthy marriage and relationships, and how Scripture consistently addresses the dangers of self-abandonment, emotional imbalance, and false peace.

    You’ll learn:

    • What differentiation means (biblically and psychologically)
    • How emotional invalidation reveals poor differentiation
    • Why unrepaired conflict quietly erodes intimacy
    • The role of shame, pride, and avoidance in relational breakdown
    • What Scripture says about responsibility, burden-bearing, and mutual submission
    • Why differentiation creates holy tension — and why that tension is necessary for growth

This episode is not about blame, dominance, or emotional withdrawal.

It’s about learning how to love without disappearing.

If you’ve ever felt like honesty costs you connection, this conversation is for you.
