Almost daily I hear from a man, or men who are complaining about women not submitting and letting men lead. Many modern men claim that they want to lead, but they miss so many opportunities that their significant others present to them early on in the relationship that determine, for the woman, the man's willingness and/or ability to lead her. I've always taken a strong, dogmatic stance on men always paying when we take women out on dates. But, following my last podcast episode, I have changed my opinion on the matter.

With all the discussions about what men and women should do on dates, who should pay, and what the expected outcomes of a date should be, I think we've missed the real point. Why do People go on dates in the first place? Let's discuss the actual purpose of dating and come to an agreement on that, and maybe things like men paying when a man and women go out, and what a woman should expect to "put out" in response will begin to make more sense.

As many of you all know, my wife Meeks has Sickle Cell Anemia. As such, a major part of my relationship with her centers around caring for her condition. She missed this week's show due to complications related to Sickle Cell, so I felt it was as good a time as any to discuss being in love with a person who has a chronic illness.
