  • Ep. 7 - House of Frankenstein, Bath
    Aug 5 2022

To commemorate the recent first anniversary of the attraction's launch, in this episode Chris features the impeccable immersive House of Frankenstein, situated in the centre of Bath.

Over the years, it has seldom been acknowledged that Mary Shelley wrote much of her groundbreaking novel in the city itself, giving the House of Frankenstein even more importance of its own, as the first attraction of its kind to pay homage to Shelley.

This episode features highlights from Chris' interview with co-creators Jonathan Willis & Chris Harris, recorded last year for Dead Men Talk.

  • Ep. 6 - The Chained Oak at Alton, Staffordshire
    Jun 8 2022

In this episode, Chris takes a look at the legend of 'The Chained Oak' near the village of Alton, in Staffordshire.

Around 1821, it is believed that the Earl of Shrewsbury fell victim to a beggar woman’s curse after he shunned her appeal for charity whilst he travelled home to Alton one night. ‘The Chained Oak’ tree still stands as a symbol of this legend.

In 2000, Alton Towers theme park adopted their own take on the story in their newest attraction at the time – ‘Hex: The Legend of The Towers’.

  • Ep. 5 - Hound Tor & Kitty Jay's Grave
    Jun 5 2022
Dartmoor has it's own rich history and folklore, and in what will likely be the first of many episodes exploring this we visit two of the most well-known locations. At Hound Tor you can visit and explore the remains of a medieval village, once a homestead to six households, which mysteriously became deserted by the 15th Century. And just down the road, you can find the crossroads grave-site of the tragic Kitty Jay, with its own mysterious happening which still occurs to this day.
