  • S1E42 - Choosing Sustainable Work: When Your Calling Doesn’t Fit the System
    Feb 3 2026

In this solo episode of Blissful Connections, I shared openly about a major work transition I’m moving through — and why it reflects a much larger conversation about sustainability, accessibility, and purpose.

I talked about recently wrapping up a seasonal role with Lighthouse Works, supporting The Assistance Fund, where I worked with patients facing serious, high-risk illnesses and extremely expensive medications. While the work was meaningful, it was also emotionally demanding. Many calls involved navigating strict HIPAA restrictions, speaking with people in crisis, and delivering difficult news when assistance was denied due to limited funding.

This experience reinforced something important for me: crisis-driven healthcare call center work is not sustainable long-term — especially for someone who leads with empathy and emotional presence.

I also shared how accessibility barriers continue to shape employment opportunities for blind and disabled people, contributing to the persistently high unemployment rate in our community. Inaccessible platforms, systems, and workflows still prevent many qualified individuals from thriving in traditional roles.

This episode explored the difference between meaningful work and sustainable work — and why honoring our limits without shame is essential for long-term impact. I reflected on how these realizations have led me to recommit to the work that truly fits me: Blissful Connections, advocacy, speaking, and one-on-one coaching focused on emotional safety, clarity, and life transitions.

This wasn’t just a conversation about jobs — it was about choosing alignment over exhaustion, purpose over pressure, and building a life that allows us to keep showing up without burning out.

  • S1E41 - After the Dream: What Do We Do Now?
    Jan 27 2026

This episode was a grounded, reflective conversation about what happens after inspiration fades — after the dream, after the moment, after the emotional high.

Following the previous MLK Day episode, I focused this solo show on integration — the often-overlooked work of turning inspiration into steady, meaningful change. Being moved is powerful, but transformation happens when we apply what we’ve learned consistently and honestly in our everyday lives.

Throughout the episode, I explored the difference between emotional highs and lasting growth, emphasizing that real change doesn’t come from hype or perfection, but from patience, direction, and self-trust. Growth is rarely dramatic. More often, it’s quiet, uncomfortable, and deeply human.

Inside this episode, I talked about:
    • Why inspiration alone doesn’t guarantee transformation

    • The importance of steady progress over chasing emotional highs

    • How emotional safety and authenticity support long-term growth

    • Why struggle and imperfection are part of meaningful development

    • Letting go of comparison and trusting your own pace

I also shared personal reflections on balancing purpose-driven work with real-life responsibilities, and why choosing direction over deadlines has become a core value behind Blissful Connections.

If you want to go deeper beyond the podcast, I shared more about Blissful Connections Premium, my one-on-one coaching space for people who want intentional, private support as they integrate growth into their lives.

  • S1E40 - The Dream, Revisited: Dignity, Justice, and the Power of Connection
    Jan 20 2026

This special Martin Luther King Jr. Day episode was a reflective and meaningful conversation about what the dream represents today — not just historically, but relationally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Rather than treating Dr. King’s legacy as something frozen in time, I explored how his vision continues to live on through dignity, justice, empathy, and human connection — the very heart of Blissful Connections.

Throughout the episode, I reflected on how civil rights work is not only systemic, but deeply relational. True progress doesn’t happen solely through laws; it happens in everyday moments — in how we listen, how we respect differences, and how we create emotional safety for one another.

    We talked about:

    • How the dream was rooted in human dignity , not just policy

    • Why justice requires love, courage, and conscience , not retaliation

    • How civil rights show up in daily relationships, not just history books

    • The importance of inclusion across race, disability, neurodivergence, and lived experience

This episode also connected Dr. King’s unfinished dream to the ongoing mission of Blissful Connections — helping people build healthier, more compassionate relationships in a divided world.

I was deeply grateful for the community that showed up for this conversation. A special thank you to my grandmother for her generous $50 tip to the show — your love and support mean more than words 💛.
