Was bedeuten Tattoos in verschiedenen Kulturen? Wie zeigen uns Film und Fernsehen, was „normal“ ist und was nicht? Und warum fühlen sich manche Körper sichtbar, andere dagegen unsichtbar?

Cynthia forscht zu genau diesen Fragen - rund um Körperpolitik, Mediensprache und die vielen versteckten Codes, die unsere Körper in Büchern, Filmen und Alltagsgesprächen tragen. Besonders spannend: Ihre Perspektive als US-Amerikanerin mit langjähriger Deutschland-Erfahrung.

Zwischen sichtbaren Tätowierungen, versteckten Erwartungen und historischen Narben tauchen wir tief ein in Fragen von Autonomie, Geschichte und Macht.

Aber es geht nicht nur darum, wie Körper gesehen, sondern auch gedeutet werden und was das über unsere Gesellschaft sagt.

Außerdem: Was sind transkulturelle Beziehungen und wie funktionieren sie eigentlich im echten Leben? Spoiler: Es ist nicht einfach nur Multikulti. Cynthia erklärt, warum Sprache eine Investition ist und Integration kein One-Way-Ticket sein darf.

Es wird endlich Zeit, alte Narrativen genauer zu hinterfragen.
