About this listen

This pod cast is designed to encourage the Church of Jesus Christ to seek understanding from scripture about the events, signs and purpose of the end of the age and the return of the Lord. We will hit on all of the highly contested topics and seek through scripture to get an understanding of the truth about the return of the Lord, or gathering together to Him, the consummation of the coming kingdom, and how we (the Church) can be prepared for this imminent reality.Copyright 2023 All rights reserved. Episode 38 Revelation Part 4 Jesus Revealed to The Seven Churches

    • Introduction to the seven letters to the seven churches in Asia Minor
      1. There are different theories on the implication of the letters to the seven Churches.
        • One of the most popular theories is that the seven churches represent 7 ages of the Church.
          • I don’t believe this is a good interpretation primarily because all of the characteristics of these Churches can be seen globally at any time.
    1. First and foremost, each letter was written from Jesus to a specific Church in Asia minor in the first century.
      • However, at the conclusion of each letter Jesus writes “He who has an ear, hear what the Spirit says to the seven Churches”. This is a clear invitation to apply the understanding of these seven letters to all churches of all ages.
    2. I believe the healthy way to approach these letters is to do personal evaluation of the context of the letters and community evaluation of your church community through the context of these letters. This is truly and evaluation tool that the Lord has given us to get right and get ready for what He is wanting to do through the Church in the earth at the time that we are living, and in context to the totality of the book of Revelation, what He wants to do through the Church in tribulation at the end of the age.
    • We are going to work through the prologs of each letter and the warning of each letter before we go back and look at the “meat of each letter”. The reason I like to study these letters this way is because highlights what Jesus is revealing about Himself, which is the center focus of the book!
      1. The Church of Ephesus “He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks among the seven lampstands”.
        • So Jesus holds the seven stars, or the seven angels of the seven churches in His right hand.
          • There are some different interpretations of the seven stars. We know that they are referred to “angels” here which means “messengers”. Many interpret the angels as bishops of leaders over the Church bodies in the given region. I think that makes the most since here. I say that because, it doesn’t make since to me that Jesus would give this information to an angel, to give to John so that he could right a book to give it to another angel that would then give it to the Church in the region. It makes more since to me that John is writing these letter through the Spirit of God to disperse them to Church leaders in the given regions.
        • He walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands. Jesus is alive and active in His Church. He walks in the midst of His Church!
    • The warning to the Church in Ephesus; “remember from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent.”
      • The significands here on an individual level is remembering that state of being when you first believe! The reality of God in your heart at that first time of repentance.
      • On a Church level the warning is to remember the call of your church plant or ministry. The reality of the burden God put on you as a community of believers. Over time, through growth, and through influence it’s easy to stray from the heart of your calling.
      • The need here is to repent, ultimately, we should live a life of repentance. Truly daily repentance, walking in the Spirit in relation to the conviction of the Holy Spirit.

maskileam@gmail.com Episode 37 Revelation Part 3 chapter 1:9-20 Revealing Jesus Christ My thoughts on the Israel war with Humas 11/5/2023 The first thing to define is not what does the war mean, but rather how should the Church respond. This war is bringing to the surface global antisemitism, which ultimately is a good thing (not antisemitism, but the revealing of it). The Church must be ready to identify with Israel. I believe we are seeing a type or shadow of the final battle. Explain The stage is setting for the little horn to arise out of the ancient Seleucid dynasty. What could happen next and what to watch for. Introduction The many faces of JesusThe introduction of symbols, the seven golden lamp stands. The Son of Man Revelation Ch. 1:9-12 Verse 9 John Introduces himself as a companion, in tribulation. He was banished to Island of Patmos to die. Jesus told us that we will have trials, tribulations and troubles in this world. He also told us there was a time coming like never has been before and never will be again. We are not exempt from being in any tribulations, however we do have the hope of being supernaturally kept or helped to fulfill our purposed and maintain our faith in tribulation even to martyrdom. Hallelujah!John identifies that He was sovereignly sent by God through tribulation to the Island of Patmos for the Word of God (ultimately Jesus as John identified at the beginning of the Gospel he wrote), and the testimony of Christ’s return. It’s important to identify that John is called by God to receive a message from Jesus, for the CHURCH detailing and reiterating the prophetic scriptures detailing His return. This is for us, not because we won’t be here, but so we will have the testimony of Jesus and the understanding of our purpose while we are here! Verse 10 In tribulation, John was in the Spirit, He was seeking God and in that place of seeking God, God gave him His Word for us!When John says loud voice as of a trumpet, we can’t think brass instrument. He is referring to a shofar which is a much different, deeper sound. Verse 11 The voice identifies Himself as the beginning and the end, or Yahweh and as we’ll see It’s Jesus speaking solidifying that Jesus and the Father are one in the same! We must understand this to be able to rightfully understand scripture. He is commissioned by Jesus to write down what He sees, put it in a book and send it to the seven Churches in Asia minor. So, this book was written and given to the seven Churches, but as we looked at in the last session it was written for anyone who reads, hears and keeps and ultimately for those who will see these things shortly take place. Verse 12 In this verse we are introduced to our first symbols. Good news the, as we will see in verse 20, Jesus tells us exactly what the symbols represent. Verse 13 The one who is speaking to John is revealed as the “Son of man”. This referring to Jesus and Jesus referred to Himself as “The Son of Man” more than any other name by far, over 70 times. Why? Because this refers directly to Daniel Chapter 7 where the coming Mesiah was first identified as not just a coming prophet but Yahweh Himself coming. Johns writing here is reiterating that. This is the first time John has seen his best friend since He ascended, but here in a different form then just His glorified, resurrected body. Verse 14-15 He is the “The Son of Man” but taking on the form of the Father as John sees the same imaging as Daniel and Eziekiel saw in there visions of Yahweh. His hair being white as snow is not imaging an old man, or a wizard like picture, but rather a reflection of His awesome glory and purity. In Him is no darkness. His eyes are like flaming fire and feet like fine brass as purified in the furnace. He is the fire that purifies yet with His feet He walked on earth through the fire, He was purified in the flesh, walking as us through the fire, yet He is the author of the fire that purifies. Just take some time to meditate on the Glory of that! His voice as the sound of many waters. An unmistakable voice! One that is only recognizable as Yahweh. Though most of us don’t see Yahweh/Jesus tangibly or hear Him audibly, we want to spend time with Him in such a way that we recognize His voice as we would the sound of many waters. Verse 16 Here is another symbol that will be interpreted in verse 20, “in His right hand He had seven stars.”Out of His mouth went a 2-edged sword. We are getting into Jesus as a warrior. Yes, the 2 edged sword is the Word of God, and ultimately Jesus Himself is the word of God, but this depicting that the Word is used to tear down and destroy the wicked. Ultimately destroying darkness. “His countenance is like the sun shining in its strength”. Think about this for a minute. How far away the sun yet how much strength it has. We can’t look at it, we can’t hide from it! It is Jesus himself that gives the sun It’s strength. The Meir sight of Jesus in...

Episode 36 Revelation Part 2 chapter 1:1-8 Everyone who hears

    • My thoughts on the Israel war with Humas 10/08/2023
      • The first thing to define is not what does the war mean, but rather how should the Church respond.
      • This war is bringing to the surface global antisemitism, which ultimately is a good thing (not antisemitism, but the revealing of it). The Church must be ready to identify with Israel.
      • At the time of this recording I believe this is a birth pain. We will see how it escalates.
      • I believe there will be a war with Israel, led by Iran that will ultimately result in a false peace in the middle east setting the stage for the end of the age. It’s way to early in this conflict to know if this is that conflict.
    • Introduction
      • Review ch. 1 verse1-3
      • The book of revelation was given from the Father through the Son to the church, not anyone else.
    • Revelation ch. 1:1-8
      • Verse 1-3 review
        • The book is first and foremost a revelation of Jesus Christ and that should be the filter in which the book should be seen.
        • There is a blessing for all who;
          1. Read the words of the book
          2. Hear (learn and understand) the book
          3. Keep the book
        • Verses 4&5 This book was a prophecy/vision from the triune God to John so he could record it and give it to the 7 churches.
          • The book was first and foremost given to the 7 churches in Asia minor which is modern day Turkey.
          • Jesus was the first born from the dead. He died on the cross and was resurrected as the first born from the dead. We will receive our resurrected bodies and Join Jesus in His state at His return.
          • The seven spirits who are before His throne (the Holy Spirit).
          • The triune God is mentioned here by the; Him who is who was and is to come (the Father), Jesus Christ (the Son),
        • Verse 5&6
          • By the blood of Jesus we were made priests. This is important. We have been given direct access to Yaweh thought the blood of Jesus. Shame on us if we don’t take advantage of that!
        • Verse 7
          • Jesus’ return is not in secret! He is only coming one more time and ALL will see Him. Including Israel (those who pierced him) and they will be saved at His coming.
        • Verse 8
          • This book is from the Highest one, the creator of all things, and He is giving it to the gentile Church that was grafted into the Holy covenant by the Jewish Messiah for a purpose!
