  • 45. How to Make Decisions
    Jan 22 2026

In this week's episode, I shared a lesson that I created when making decisions in my business this month. We all have decisions to make in life – big and small. From parenting, to vacations, to budgets, to projects, to home repair, and more. Letting decisions sit undone causes unnecessary stress and confusion. Decisions do not go away. In fact, they usually get harder the longer you delay. Even saying "no" to something is a decision. Here is my acronym for making a more confident decision: IDC. Dig in more to that with me in today's episode. You'll learn how to get informed about your situation – do some research, ask trusted advisors or mentors, decide the best you can with what you have and know right now, and communicate clearly to people who it impacts.

    • Embrace the acronym IDC to better guide your decisions.

    • There are two ways to be informed – do your own research and ask a trusted resource.

    • Decisions don't go away if you ignore them.

    • Decisions that stay open in your brain cause stress.

    • Communicate your decision with clarity.

"Decisions don't go away by ignoring them. Most decisions are not made in permanent marker." - Trina

  • 44. Breaking Through the Noise of Wellness with Elise Joan
    Jan 13 2026

In this week's episode, I interviewed my dear friend and celebrity wellness expert Elise Joan. @elisejoanofficial

Elise shared the value of the Calm & Confident podcast in her life, and how she has navigated transitional times. We dove into her beliefs on reducing stress in life, including the stress caused by overly restrictive fitness and nutrition standards.

She wants women, especially over the age of 30, to know that living with joy, and connecting with community is as important as finding movement that you love, and nutrition that is nourishing.

Elise has studied with the top longevity experts in the world, including doctors from Harvard Medical School. She said that muscle is the fountain of youth, but that strength training does not need to be punishing on your body to work. She believes in body weight resistance training and shorter, consistent workouts.

You can enjoy free resources, such as eating for vitality, guided meditations, breath work, and fitness on her newly-launched app called "The Ageless Protocol."

What You'll Learn in This Episode
    • Why stress—not food or missed workouts—is one of the biggest threats to women's health

    • How hustle culture has shaped (and harmed) women's approach to fitness and aging

    • Why traditional fitness advice doesn't work for women—especially over 30

    • How to move your body in ways that build strength, protect joints, and support longevity

    • The importance of joy, community, and emotional regulation in long-term health

    • Why muscle is the "fountain of youth"—and how to build it without punishing workouts

    • How Elise navigates life transitions with creativity, alignment, and self-trust

    • What it truly means to nourish your body, mind, and soul

"Longevity should be a lifestyle we enjoy—not a punishment we have to endure." - Elise Joan

  • 43. Love the Whole Book of Yourself
    Jan 8 2026

In this episode, I shared a lesson about accepting all of your past chapters. We all had parts of our lives that we'd rather not revisit – decisions we made, places we went, or people we surrounded ourselves with that did not bring out our best selves. Those chapters – whether they lasted months or years, still shaped the person we are today. When we hold onto worry, shame or regret, it's hard to show up as our most energetic selves today. We are our entire life, we are all of our chapters. We are all the pages that have been written. When we accept it all, we are able to love ourselves and others more deeply and continue to learn and grow.

    Key Takeaways
    • Each chapter of life brings challenges and opportunities to grow. We make choices and we move forward. It all shapes and molds us.

    • Loving the whole book of yourself means accepting all of the previous versions of you – as a student, or a young professional, or spouse or parent or leader on your journey.

    • Your earlier versions might have been "less" of what you are now. You might be "more" confident, more authentic, more bold, more trustworthy, more kind, more wise. But all the versions matter.
